The Sins You Hate and The power I Craved(A Jellal Fernández x oc Fanfic)

Ch3:

Quick note in case anyone was confused, this takes place 1 year after tenrou disappeared so Rufus(as well as some other members of Team Sabertooth) is 13 and Abe is 20.

Abe's pov

My alarm went off which made me open my eyes. I outstretched my hand, hitting the clock and turning it off.

I pushed myself up and stretched with a yawn. It took me a couple of seconds to register what was going on around me but once I did, I felt heat rise to my face. A pair of arms were wrapped around my waist, the owner of said arms being a certain blueberry haired male.

I grabbed onto his arms and tried to get his grip off me. He woke up due to this.

He stared blankly at me eyes clearly showing he was sleepy before his eyes landed on where his arms were.

He quickly backed up, face flushed. "I am so sorry" he apologised, face as red as wine. I turned away, hiding my face with my hair since I couldn't let him see my flushed face.

"Whatever" I mumbled, getting up. I went into the bathroom, locking the door behind me before running the tap.

I threw cold water on my face to help cool it down then hit my face. "Don't go falling for him. You need to take care of Rufus. You don't have time for love and he's a criminal which makes it worse" I scolded myself.

Once I had cooled down, I walked out of the bathroom. Jellal was sitting on the bed, still as flustered as before. I turned to Ivy who was starting to wake up.

"Make sure he doesn't leave this room. Got it" I ordered. She nodded sleepily, rubbing her eyes.

I exited my room and walked down the stairs. Rufus wasn't awake yet so that would give me time to make breakfast for all 5 of us and hopefully get some up to Jellal, Ivy and Nightshade without rising any suspicion.

I walked into the kitchen and put some bacon on, letting it sizzle over the stove. I opened the fridge and looked inside.

There wasn't much left, only a little milk, some eggs and a couple bits of veg. "Mental note. Go shopping today" I mumbled to myself, pulling out the milk and eggs.

I boiled the kettle, letting it wheeze out its noise while cracking some eggs onto a separate pan.

"Abe?" someone asked. I turned around to see Rufus, rubbing his eyes to get rid of sleep. "Oh Rufy, did I wake you?" I asked. "I heard you walking about and figured I could help you with breakfast" he explained.

"Well I'm good. Why don't you take a seat. Food shouldn't be too long" I smiled at him. His hair was utterly chaotic, sticking up and to the sides like he was trying to imitate Sting but with long hair.

"You look like your trying to copy Sting" I chuckled. He blinked and lifted his hand up to feel his hair. "Oh" was all he said. "Don't worry about it. I know you'll sort it anyway" I smiled.

"By the way, have Sting and Rogue got a place yet?" I asked, serving the food which was now finished. "No but they said that until they were old enough to buy a house then they'd be fine living in the den they made" Rufus replied as I placed his plate in front of them.

"Have you told them that they can come stay here anytime?" I asked, sitting down with my own plate, having put one in the microwave to heat up when we were done. He shook his head.

"Well you should. I can't have a couple of young teens living on the streets. They can take the couch" I sighed, cutting up some of my bacon and eating it.

Rufus looked down at his food then up to me. "Am I holding you back?" he asked. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well...... You haven't really tried to go out of your comfort zone. I know there was a guy in Sabertooth you used to like but he got kicked out. Why didn't you talk to him?" he asked.

"Oh Rufy. You know I don't get close with people because of Jiemma" I assured him. "I don't think that's the only reason" Rufus objected.

"Look. It's nothing for you to worry about. I'm perfectly happy with what I have. I've got you, Ivy and Nightshade and seeing the 3 of you being happy is enough for me" I smiled at him.

He looked at me but didn't say anything else, just ate his breakfast. "I'll be coming to the guild today. I need to check back in with Jiemma to let him know I completed the mission" I explained once he had finished, taking the plate from him.

He nodded before going up the stairs to get ready. I set the microwave to a few minutes and let it heat up the food before putting it onto 3 plates and taking it upstairs.

Jellal looked at me as I entered. From his look, I could guess he was thinking about something. I handed him the plate which he took.

"Thanks" he mumbled, eyes staring down at the carpet as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. I shrugged before handing the other two plates to Ivy and Nightshade.

"Can the two of you stay here while I go round to the guild and let Jiemma know how the mission went?" I asked.

"Sure thing Abe" Nightshade agreed, giving me a salute. I smiled. "Oh and we might have a few more guests" I added.

"Who?" Ivy asked. "Sting and Rogue" I replied, going over to my mirror to brush my hair. "Oh great. Lector's going to try and flirt with me again" Ivy huffed, crossing her arms.

"Who's Sting and Rogue?" Jellal asked, taking a bite of egg. "Their a couple of boys at my guild. Same age as Rufus. They live on the streets since they're too young to get a house yet" I explained, brushing my hair.

Once I'd finished with my hair, including weaving the feather into it, I changed into my clothes and walked over to the door. "Behave you three" I ordered before leaving my room, closing the door behind me.
