Third quarter had become and everything was quiet. The class stared emptily and quietly at the notes the teacher had on the board. The seat at the back of the room was empty. For Abby Green no longer sat quietly in the back of the room. The fall from the window had killed her instantly. The students had tried to pull it off as Abby being clumsy and falling but someone finally spoke up. A boy that no one really paid much attention to told of the months of abuse she had suffered. They got 72 hours of community service because "well they're just kids and they tease. I'm sure they never meant it" The bull a lawyer had presented to the judge. Nevaeh told of their friendship blossoming into something more, at least they were able to be in love for a moment. The popular clique disbanded and life went on. The seat remained empty and no one spoke of little Abby Green. She was just the girl that society forgot.
