Breaking the Barrier

A/N: Things are about to get real... 😉

Back in Auradon

Ben's POV

I was completing some of my kingly paperwork when Abigail Hearts suddenly bursts into my office. "King Ben!"

Startled, I push back my chair, causing it to topple over. "What is it?"

"The barrier-" she stops, taking a breath. "Has been broken!"

12 Hours Earlier

Harry's POV

"Move it!" The guard commands, pushing me out of my cell.

"Fine, but did ye really need teh shove me? I'm perfectly capable of escorting myself out, thank ye very much."

The guard grunts in response, clearly disinterested in speaking with me.

"I see how eht is. Givin' me the cold shoulder, aye?"

He shoves me harder than necessary, causing me to come very close to falling on my behind. "Move. Now. Or. Else." He says, through clenched teeth.

I pout. "Yer no fun." 

"I'm not meant to be fun." 

He continues to push me until we arrive at a door. "Good luck," he smirks. "You're going to need it." 

"Welcome to my humble office," Caleb says, ushering me in.

"Eht doesn't look very humble teh me," I reply, taking in the scene. There is a reindeer rug on the floor, and variety of reindeer heads decorating the walls. On his solid oak desk rests a bloody, beheaded reindeer figurine.  "What's with all the dead reindeer?"

His smile dims for a second, but returns quickly. "You see, I am a professional reindeer hunter. I absolutely despise those... Creatures."

"Clearly... So, what did ye want teh talk teh me about anyway?"

"Well, my dear Harry," he says, and grins evilly. "Today is the day you will be breaking the barrier."

One Hour Later

The guard pushes me out of (Y/N)'s secret spot that isn't so secret anymore. "Good luck," he sneers, and closes the door, very nearly on my fingers.

Hopefully this is the last time I am seeing him.

Regaining my focus, I realize that I am free! Well, not quite, but close enough! So what if I can't let anyone know I'm here? At least I'm not stuck in the crummy old cell anymore.

I begin heading over to Ben's office, a plan already taking shape in my head. I will talk to Ben, and explain my situation. Then, we will gather all of the VKs currently in Auradon, and explain to them the situation. Ben will (hopefully) then give me something that opens the barrier, and I will meet Caleb at the beach. Him and I will travel over to the Isle, and then I'll open the barrier. As soon as it begins to open, I will send a message to Abigail through telepathic abilities that Fairy Godmother will betrothe me with (again, hopefully). Then, Ben will bring all the VKs to the Isle so we can take down Caleb.

Hopefully then I can come back to Auradon and free (Y/N). If I have to endure another day without her, I may go completely insane.

I arrive at Ben's office, and knock on the door. "Ben?" I ask, silently praying to Poseidon he is in there.

I can just barely make out a muffled reply. "Who is it?"

"Harry. Ye know, the guy who's been missin' for some time?"

I hear some shuffling, and footsteps racing towards me. I step back just as the door flies open. "Harry! Oh my God! You're really here!"

"Yep, I am here. But we need teh save the celebration for later. (Y/N) is still being held captive by Caleb, and he's also planning on taking over Auradon."

Ben stares at me with a dumbfounded expression on his face. "Who's Caleb?"

"I'll explain it all, but we need teh talk in a private location."

"I know just the place."

Ben ushers me inside his office, and leads us over to a padlocked door.

He pulls out a key, and explains. "This is where we keep Fairy Godmother's Wand now, since the... Incident."

"But what about the one in the museum, and isn't a padlock not enough security for an object as powerful as this?"

"Fake. And Fairy Godmother put numerous security spells on the door, so that no one can break in without me accompanying them."

He unlocks the door, and we walk inside. He then closes it, and asks, "Now, what in Auradon is happening?"

I summarize my experience in hell, leaving out the one heavenly moment when I sang with (Y/N).

Ben's face quickly falls, and apologizes after I finish. "Harry, I'm so sorry you and (Y/N) had to deal with that. Once this fiasco is over, I will do everything in my power to see that Caleb is sent to the Isle of the Lost."

I give him a small smile. "Thanks in advance, but we have teh stop him first. Which is why I already have devised a perfect plan."

"Oh yeah?" He says, and I explain the entire plan in detail. He listens intently, and doesn't seem to think twice when I tell him about the telepathic abilities. In fact, he thinks it's a great idea, and definitely possible with the help of Fairy Godmother. "Sounds great. All we need to do is gather all the VKs and Fairy Godmother. Oh, and I will get someone to quick grab a barrier-opener from one of the limos."

"Sorry, but yer gonna have teh gather everyone yerself. Caleb ordered me not teh show me face anywhere."

"That's fine. Just stay in here, and I'll get everyone."

"Okay. Good luck, Ben."

"Thanks," he replies, and shuts the door.

Finally, I have the chance to stop Caleb, but more importantly free (Y/N).

I need her.

Omg. It's been forever since I last updated!!! I'm so sorry about that (QueenQuinzelJrHAHAHA yes I know what I'm doing is hypocritical)!!! So, here I am, finally. By the way, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and/or other holidays!
