Backstory: His dream was to become a soul reaper, he knew it would be difficult but he still wanted his dream to come true. His clan were very calm people and Kyosuke always used to train to get his shikai and bankai and he achieved it successfully at a young age. That's until people came and murdered his clan, he tried stopping them but it seems the opponent made his zanpakto not be able to work, (Dante and Sukina did this when they had zanpaktos before giving them up to Sosuke Aizen). Kyosuke tries desperately to get it back. He now trains to the point that he faints and that is not healthy for the body at all. He carries his zanpakto around anyways just for protection. If he ever does get back his bankai and shikai it will be strong enough to shake the whole society when released.
The outfit he is wearing in the photo is his clan's traditional uniform. He still wears the 'X' straps with his soul reaper uniform since he knows that no one will know it is from his clan uniform.
