Backstory: Akuya was abandoned by his parents at a young age and he was often bullied about it, meaning he had no friends. Akuya also had problems with his vocal box meaning his speaking wasn't 100% good, he would stutter and occasionally slur his words so he wears a mask he took days to process his voice and make it sound normal although his mask makes him sound somewhat robotic.
He tends to see Ichigo around when Akuya has to go to the world of the living although the two have never spoken, this is because Akuya is Sosuke's spy and has worked beside him for a long time.
