Chapter 11

Michelle was at work getting a call from Betty. There weren't that many people in the store today, so Michelle answered the call.

"What are you doing this Saturday?" Betty said jumping right into the conversation.

"Uh I don't know yet," Michelle answered.

"Okay good, so my parents are going away for the weekend and I managed to convince them to leave me home alone, sooooo I was thinking id have a small get together with my friends. Can you come?"

Michelle thought about it, "Who are these friends you're inviting?"

"You, Ned, Peter, Gwen, Flash, Brad, Felicia, Harry, Cindy, and me!" she says excited.

"Betty, I don't think it's a good idea to have Peter and Brad together for long." Michelle cautions Betty.

"Already handled. I told Brad to behave himself or I'll kick his ass. And I told Peter to behave or you'll kick his ass Hahaha. Also, I already told him you were coming, and you can't back out now!"

"Ugh Betty, you're so pushy sometimes." Michelle mumbles, her way of saying she's in.

"I know!" Betty laughs, "It's the only way to get things done sometimes."

Michell couldn't argue with that. "Can't argue with that."

"Great, you were the last person I invited cause I thought you'd be the hardest to convince, but all I had to do was mention Peter and you're in. it's adorable. Everyone else is def coming, so bring some snacks and clothes to sleep in and a swimsuit. You can also bring some movies if you want too. My first co-ed party slash sleep over slash get together, it's gonna be so much fun!!" Betty is almost screaming on the phone now, "Oh I gotta go, Ned's calling me, BYEE!!" and she hung up.

Michelle laughs at her loud friend.

Brad, who had been in the store the whole time and heard the whole conversation because Betty is so loud, walks to the front desk to Michelle.

"So, you're going to Bettys on Saturday?" he asked

"Yes, and don't snoop into my conversations anymore." Michelle tells him.

"I wasn't snooping. I could hear Betty screaming down the street," he joked.

Michelle chuckled slightly, "Yeah she's pretty loud."

"I'm glad you're going. It'll be fun." Brad continues, "Plus I heard Betty's parents are rich, so her house is gonna be awesome. They must be like lawyers or doctors or something"

Michelle didn't know that about Betty.

"So, I guess Parker is going to huh?" Brad huffs.

Michelle sighs, "Yes Brad, Peter is going and you both are going to behave yourselves or-"

"I know Michelle, you and betty will kick my ass. Got it."

She rolls her eyes at him

Brad step closer to Michelle severally invading her space, "Maybe I'll allow you to do that to me right now." he smirks. He grabs Michelle's arm. She yanks herself away from him.

Michelle stares daggers at him, "Take several steps back." If looks could kill, Brad would be dead. She stares him down silently until he starts to feel as uncomfortable as she felt, and he left the store.

What the hell was that? Michelle thought. Michelle thought about telling Peter what just occurred but immediately shot that down. She didn't want to cause World War III. Now she didn't really want to go to Bettys anymore if Brad was going to be there, but she already told Betty she'd come.

Later Taylor can in, and Michelle was able to go back home and process the day.

Michelle got home and found her mother and sister talking in the living room. This was a rare sight, as her mother Anna has been talking more shifts and Maya has her fellowship.

"Hey, Chelley, me and Maya came home early today cause we wanted to spend the rest of the day with you." Anna said to her youngest daughter.

"That's nice but how did you even know I'd be home? I could've been out with Peter or Betty or Ned." Michelle asked sitting down by her mother.

"Nah, I already asked them if they had plans with you today." Maya says sipping on her drink.

"How did you even get their numbers?"

Maya laughs, "I have my ways." Michelle rolls her eyes.

"Michelle, what's been going on with you?" Anna asked.

Michelle looked at her mother. She was very pretty and looked younger than she actually is. She has a deep dark complexion and black hair that was put in a high puff. Anna was very shapely and always wore clothes that complimented her body. Her eyes were kind looking. A funny contrast to her youngest daughter, whose eyes were sharp and constantly observing her surroundings. Anna could get anyone she wanted but choose to stay single, saying she is working on herself.

"Ugh, nothin." Even though Michelle lover her mother it would be so much easier to talk to just Maya by herself.

"That's it?" Anna questioned, "I give you a place to lay ya head and food to eat, and all you have to say to me is 'nothin'." Maya laughs at her mom dramatics.

"I've been working at the store and hanging with friends...and Peter" Michelle restates her answer.

"Oh. yeah." Anna laughs, "how are things between you and ya lil friend?"

Michelle tries to hide her face from her mom in a pillow but Anna, knowing he daughter, tickles her sides getting her to release the pillow laughing.

"Oh my god ma staaaaaaph!" Michelle says laughing.

Maya stays seated laughing at her sister and mother acting silly.

"I will once you tell me what's going on!" Anna kept messing with her daughter but finally released her when she told her what has been happening.

Michelle told her mother and sister what's been going on with her and Peter, leaving out all the Spider-Man and May giving then the 'talk' nonsense, and her new friendship with Betty.

"It sounds like you're having a good summer." Maya wiggles her eyebrows at her sister.

"It's been fun I guess," Michelle shrugged.

"I want us to be together as much as possible, especially with Maya going back to campus and you starting school again soon. Then you're gonna be off to college and Maya is starting her law degree, and I'm gonna miss me babies!" Anna starts getting all choked up and grabs her daughters hugging them tightly. They hug her back.

"Okay ma you can stop trying to suffocate us now," Maya gets out.

"Sorry Mayabear." Maya rolls her eyes at her childhood nickname.

"Hey mom, can I go to Betty's house Saturday for a sleepover?" Michelle asked, leaving out that her boyfriend and other males are going to also be there.

"Do I know Betty's parents?" Anna asked.

"Ma come on! She's going to a friend's house for a night. Chelley's responsible, let her have some fun with her friend!" Maya put her two cents in, and Michelle greatly appreciated it.

Anna sighed loudly and dramatically, "Okay Chelley-belly, you can go, but send me her address."

"Thanks, Mamma!" Michelle hugged her mother again.

I based Michelle's Mother and sister off my own mother and sister. Our relationship id just like this lol. I know there was no Peter this chapter but dont worry, there will be lost of him in the coming chapters. ill post again on wednesday. Hope you liked it anyway. Later Loserzzz!
