Chapter 9

Clary.POV

"Since that's been taken care of, who wants to go to Takis?" I said.

"Yumm" Izzy and Alec said. Emerson and Ebony and Cam stayed quiet.

"Its a really good restaurant that mundanes don't know about."I said.

"Well I guess we could. I just thought you may want some time with Izzy and everyone." Emerson said.

"No, I want everyone to come."

"Oh okay."

"Jace! Are you coming!" I yelled,standing at the bottom if the stairs.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Takis." I said.

"Yeah, I'll come."

Then we all walked out to my cherry red Mercedes.

"I don't think all of us will fit." Alec said.

"No duh Captain Obvious." Izzy said.

"That's why some are going to ride in Emerson's car. Oh and Alec you can ask Magnus if he wants to come." I said.

"Okay." Alec said and walked off  little to call Magnus.

"So Cameron, Izzy, Si, Jordan,and Maia can ride with Emerson. And Alec and Jace can ride with me." I said.

Emerson has a new,shiny,black Mustang. We had an extra seat put in the front,so there's three in the front and three in the back. My car only has four seats.

                      IN THE CAR

"So Alec, Maryse was telling me that you were going to be taking over the Institute here pretty soon." I said.

"Yeah, I thought it was the least I could do."

"Why do you say that?"

"Well....."

"Alec, its not your fault." Jace said.

"What's not his fault?" I asked.

"He thinks it's his fault Robert's gone." Jace said.

"Oh Alec! Its not your fault! I promise! You shouldn't be beating yourself up because you're gay. Robert should respect that." I said.

"You're right,Clary." Alec said.

"I always am." I said with a light smile.
