"Damnit, Sora! Get up already!"

"Mmm.... Five more minutes, mom..."
Smack!

"Ow!! What the hell, Riku?!"

"Get up, lazy. It's the first day of school."

"Crap, crap, crap!!" Sora bolts out of bed. As always, he's a pretty lazy roommate, but, he's still my best friend.

My name is Riku. I'm a Keyblade Master that was born on Destiny Islands. My best friends, Sora and Kairi, live with me along with a bunch of others. Now, it's the end of summer vacation, and the first day of school. As we left the house, I felt this...sensation from my chest. I thought my darkness was overtaking me again, but that wasn't the case. I look at my surroundings. The sky is blue, the waters are crystal clear, and a gentle breeze caresses the trees and my skin. It was a really good day to go to school, then simply relax afterward.

When we got to school, Sora and Kairi already met up with each other. Sora has Kairi in case I'm not around, and their relationship was getting more heated everyday. To be honest, I'm kinda envious of him. He has someone who he truly cares about... Later on, I pass by Roxas, Xion, and Naminè. Did I ever tell you that it's a love triangle? You see, Xion and Naminè fight over Roxas everyday. I feel bad for him, and he obviously can't make a choice because both girls are really cute. But in my opinion, I'd say he should choose Naminé. She and him are basically the Nobodies of Sora and Kairi, so they would be perfect together.

"Yo, Riku!" I turn around and see Axel. He and I are pretty cool together when Roxas isn't around. But, he tends to flirt with the girls, whether or not they already have a significant other. It's annoying to even think about.

"Oh, hey, Axel."

"How was summer? Did you find a girl?"

"Uh, no... You know how bad I am at asking girls out."

"Come on, man. You really need a girlfriend sooner or later. Otherwise, you're gonna miss out on one hell of a prom."

"Shut up!" I blush at his statement. It's true.. I still don't have a girlfriend... Sometimes, I wonder if there is anyone for me out there. I need help on dating,

I thought as I head to the main office window. The names of students and their homeroom teachers were aligned and pasted on the wall. I search carefully and find that my homeroom teacher is none other than Zexion. Last year, everyone made fun of him for his height. This year, we trying to tone it down a little. As I head over to class, I bump into Aqua. She and Terra graduated from the school, and now they volunteer as security, or even substitute teachers.

"Oh, sorry, Aqua."

"Riku, it's okay. Is something wrong?"

I took a deep breath and suck it up. "I need advice. On dating."

"Oh, I have you covered. Under what category, though?"

"How do know when...the girl you find...is the one?"

She looks away for a second to think, and answers, "When you look at her for the first time... Everything stops. Like when you're hit with one of Xehanort's attacks."

"Ugh... I hope you're not talking about Xehanort II... He's a prick." I hate Xehanort to death, but his grandfather is one of the most wisest people around, so it's like a win-lose scenario.

"Don't worry about that. What matters is the girl you see. It's like everything around you stops except for you and her. That's how you know she's the one for you."

"Thanks, Aqua. Is that how you were when you and Terra first met?"

"Well, yeah." She pats my head like I'm a kid again and leaves.
So, when I see a girl and everything stops, she's the one? Love is damn well confusing... I shook it off and sat down in class. But, who would be the one for me, anyway? I gaze out the window. The weather made everything seem picture perfect. If only vacation still lingered just a little longer, I could see myself relaxing on the beach, or even surfing on the waves....

"Good morning and welcome back, class." Zexion's voice startled me back into reality. "I'm sure that everyone had a very pleasant break. But, now, it's back to homework and classes. Oh, and Weapon-Training class will not be available until next week, so be patient." There was a few groans and moans around the room. I sighed because I wished that Weapon-Training class wouldn't open next week... I didn't want to wait that long.

And so begins my school year....
