How you changed my mind

Intro

    It was coming to the end of the summer and soon the letters would arrive. Each year when a child hits fifteen they would have to take a test. The test would decide what you would do for this society. There were such things as scouts, knights, warriors, etc. The test could vary but would usually take up to a week. Until the children reach this age their parents spend their time training them for the test. If you don’t pass the test you end up living a very normal life. You end up just being one of the villagers, they run shops, farm, entertain. All the normal stuff people do. Although if you pass your test you receive your stone.
   What your stone does for you is it awakens the powers within you. The next three years of your life are spent getting control over your powers. At the end of the third year you are given the final test, it chooses your final job and your rank of that job. It takes a lot of work as every village kid in your age group will be trying out to have the spot you want. All the work in the end will be worth it though. For you to fully make the power yours you sign your full loyalty to the Empire and Empress.
  Once you do this you can never go against their words and try and harm them but you have full control and can use your powers to their full extent. You will then live the rest of your life surving them and you will be provided with money, food, place to stay, and whatever else you would need to live. To end up doing one of these jobs brings honor to your family. That is why it is the most wanted job. To not pass the test makes you a disapointment to your family and village. When you pass the first test you will be sent to Grisono. Which is the capital where the Empire and Empress live. You will be trained there so you can be used to its surrondings if you needed to protect the lords.

Sorry the intro is bad because I was trying to explain the basics of what the world I created was like so that you guys weren't just thrown in. Although I wanted to make it sound like part of the story so that it wasn't just a boring intro. Also the picture for this chapter is that because that is what your signature looks like after you sign. Also again sorry I'll try not to do a lot of these.
