How you changed my mind

Max's Chapter Two

  I walk away from my house towards my special place. I walk down the path and kick a few pebbles. I start to hum my little tone as I walk a little faster. I hit the run down trail that leads away from the village to my special place. I close my eyes as I walk the familiar trail. I feel the breeze threw my hair as I start to sing out loud. At first it was just little la la's every now and then. But suddenly I was singing my heart out while spinning down the trail. I come to the part of the trail I would turn on one of the two paths. I stop singing and start to hurry to the trail. As I'm about to turn down my trail I hear a voice behind me.
"Heyyy hot stuff," says  the annoying voice behind me.
"What do you want Travis," I say rolling my eyes.
"Oh come on sugar you know what I want," he says giving me a smile while grabbing my chin.
"Oh shut your mouth. How many times do I have to tell you I'm not interested," I say with a glare.
"You know you sure are cute when you lie," Travis says will grabbing my waist.
"I'm not lying! I told you that we can't be together anymore Travis," I say pushing myself away.
"What even happened huh? You never told me why we can't be together. We dated for a whole year Max! Then you just throw it away like I was nothing!! I LOVE YOU MAX! YOU CAN'T JUST DROP ME LIKE NOTHING!" Travis says with a hurt voice.
"Travis I-I," I start to say but he cuts me off.
"No Max, there is no excuses. You are out of the closet gay. The entire village supports you for it! a-and you just stop loving me all of the sudden. And then worst of all, while you are still the love of my life you leave me and for a whole month you screw with that stupid guy! Was I not good enough? I know I was bad Max but you were my first. You are the love of my life Max just please... I'm begging you," Travis says as tears stream down his face.
"Travis listen. I know how you must feel, but it was a long time coming. I know the last couple of weeks you changed.. and I know that you really did want us to work it all out. But Travis no matter how much you say your sorry and no matter how many times you tell me you love me it can't take it back. Travis you beat on me y-you cheated on me and you used me! I was terrified of you in the end. Then when I finally stood up and said I was not taking your shit. You said you would change. You want to know why me and the guy messed around for a month? BECAUSE HE ACTUALLY CARED!! The only reason we never got together was because he was planning on moving. So we made the best of the month we had together. Do you want to know something else Travis?? No I did not love the guy I spent that month with and no I was not over you after he left, but right now I have no feelings for you. I actually have found someone else we aren't together yet, but I hope we end up being together. I thought you should know that Travis, because maybe you knowing that will help you get over me. I wish you the best Travis," I say with as much confidence I could find.
"Your crying. That means you still care!" He says with a hopeful look.
"No. It means I once did and it means you messed me up so bad that talking about what happened makes me cry. Travis I don't want you anymore. You need to realize that, and I'm not stupid. I know this entire time we haven't been together you've been messing around with anyone you can get with. Guess what? I don't care! That's on them all I know is that the person I'm talking to now. Doesn't know you, doesn't want too and doesn't like you. So I know for damn sure you won't be taking him from me. So I think we should just go our separate ways Travis," I say sternly.
"You're a bitch. You are a handsome fucking asshole. But I have no time to win you over right now. Just know this Max I will win you back. No one can have you but me," He says with an aggressive voice.
   He grabbed my wrist while saying this and squeezed so hard I knew it would leave a bruise. Before he left he kissed me and then sprinted away. I stood there until he was no longer in site my knees shook and I fell to the ground as I cried. Then I stood up looked towards my special place and sighed. I only had 15 minutes before training now. I took off sprinting full speed now. I needed to see him, he is my happiness. Even if it was just a couple of minutes he would make it worth a lifetime. I smile as I run up to my special place. I go inside and he'll be there waiting.
