I Know You Told Me Not To, But YOLO

The quiet of the office was killing me. Once again I was sitting on the floor because Mr. Claws didn't have the decency to bring in more chairs. He said that chairs in his office would only encourage unwanted visitors to come and 'chill' with him. I didn't even know that this man could 'chill'.

What really was bugging me was the events of last night. First we're fighting, then we're fucking, and then this man takes me out for shopping. If you ask me sounds like the characteristics of a pimp.

We haven't even spoken of what happened and I'm kind of nervous to. I'm not even sure how I feel about him yet. I still hate werewolves, but do I hate him? I also told him that I wasn't going to leave but I still have a job as a hunter to do (and my rent is due soon).

I hate to think about it but how much work has piled up from school?

Honestly,

Fuck 'em.

I slowly look over at Delano typing away. His brows furrowed with concentration. He looks so cute that way...

WAIT A MINUTE, NO!

I need to stop thinking like this. Next thing you know I'll be following him around like a puppy. Gross!

I feel guilty that I left Amanda behind. But she did kinda help me screw myself over. I don't appreciate such reckless behavior. How could she let me do that to myself?

I feel like I need to go get her. How would I leave? Del has me on a close watch. He's still afraid that I will run away. I mean, he's not wrong to worry, but it just makes my life a little more difficult.

Lazily I look over at his screen. I wasn't really expecting to see anything interesting, but I did see something interesting. A pop-up ad for the services of a hunter. I didn't get to read all the details because he switched the screen, but my interest was piqued. I was absolutely dying to know what it said!

It had been so long since I killed something. It felt wrong not being in the field. Playing house with werewolves has really put me out of my element. Although I will admit that I enjoyed some of it. I need more action! I decided to wait. Maybe if Del left the room I could get a closer look at the ad.

One hour later.

This bastard still hasn't left yet!? Does this dude have a stomach of iron and a bladder of steel? This is absolutely ridiculous. There's got to be a way to let him out. I sat there pondering what to do, drawing circles in the carpet as I did. I finally decided to try reverse psychology.

"Del?"

"Hm?" he never looked away from his screen.

"I'm thirsty."

"Okay." still nothing.

"...Can I go get some water?"

"Sure."

He took the bait.

"I can get some from the kitchen, right?"

"Yep." the sound of typing never faltered.

It was time for the final blow.

"I'm not too familiar with the house, but the kitchen is right next to the front door, right?" My hand was already on the door handle.

The typing immediately stoppped, but I never looked back. A sneaky smile crept onto my face.

"I'll be back soon." I managed to say this in my most ominous voice.

Right as the door began to open a large hand pushed it closed.

"Wait." His voice was low and demanding.
