You were helping Sam and Dean behind Bela's back. It wasn't something you were proud of, but they needed help. For a while she didn't notice anything different. Then the boys started needing you more and more. It didn't take much after that to figure it out. She let it slide a few times. Now she couldn't. They were trying to kill her. You were planing on trying to convince them she was changing, you just needed more time to help her. But she found them first. Pointing her gun at both of them.
