Meeting Sam was one of the best things to happen to you. He was an understanding, sweet, kind, brave, intelligent man. You couldn't ask for a better person. At least until he left without saying goodbye. Why? You didn't know. You thought things were going well. He didn't distances himself from you. But he did spend more time with you than usual. You don't think anything of it until after he left. Which was three months ago.
Now you were trying to get over him by going on a blind date your best friend sent you up on. Not something you usually do, but you needed a change. It was nice they seemed kind....but they weren't Sam. After a while your date left to use the bathroom.
That's when you heard his voice again. After all this time. He was here.
"Sam?" You called to the man sitting at a table, alone. He was on his laptop, staring at it intently. Before he heard your voice.
