Feelings. Always so confusing. When you're a teenager you think it's the most confusing period of your life. Truth is emotions will always be confusing. One day Jacks your best friend, then you spend the day together alone, getting to know him more, and the next day you have a crush on him.
Now normally people say it won't last long, two to three months tops. However that was never the case with you. They always seemed to last longer, sometimes even a few years.
Then your feelings grew stronger. Not being in love-not yet anyway-, but it was definitely not a crush anymore. What? You didn't have the faintest idea. You researched it. Nothing came from it.
One day you chose to ask Jack. You left out the part were it was him you had these feeling, too scared of what he'd think or say.
You both were walking down town, just as a way to hangout with each other. Once you stopped, you turned to him. Asking the very question you were so afraid to ask.
"Do you ever get this unexplainable feeling about someone? You know, we're it's definitely not a crush, but it also not being in love? At least not yet anyway"
