3 years later: December 20, 2018

I sit on the corner of Eighth and Broadway, my jeans torn, my plaid shirt tattered, and my shoes worn to nothing. This has been my life for the past three years. The remainder of my money went to debt. My kids, Bella and Nick are living with Helen and Wonder Dad Nicholas who fulfills their every need. I open another bottle of whiskey and take a long sip, when I see her long legs walk past me again. The scent of her perfume wafting past my nose, her red hair down. I want to tell her how pretty she looks in her outfit and how I admire her tenacity for getting around this city, but she doesn't know I exist. And it will probably stay that way. As all things are in my life.
