For his entire life, people thought Alan Nordwick wouldn't be a strong trainer, much less champion of the Galar Region. But Alan is going to show them that not only is he a strong trainer, but that he'll be the champion of the region.
Hop: God, can't believe we made it. Alan: I know right? But we made it just in time. Alan amd Hop are sitting on a train. Scorbunny, Chewtle, Grookey, and Wooloo are looking around in awe. Alan chuckles. Alan: Looks like it's their first time on a train. Hop: Ours too. Alan: True. Hop: You nervous? Alan: About the Gym Challenge? A little. But more excited. I'm finally going to be able to show how strong I really am. Hop: And I'll be cheering you on. Alan: Until we make it to the finals. Hop: To see who will actually become Champion. Alan smiles and the two fist bump each other. The train suddenly stops and the two trainers and their Pokemon get off the train. Alan: There it is. Hop: The wild area. Alan and Hop look to see a giant area of land filled with greenery and wild Pokemon. In the distance are a couple of buildings. Hop: There's Motostoke, way in the distance. You heading straight there? Alan: Yeah, unless something catches my eye. Hop: Alright then. I'll hang around here to gain some more experience. Alan: Ok, see yah. Alan and his Pokemon so goodbye as Hop and his Pokemon head off into the wild. Alan: So, you two ready? Scorbunny: Scor!!! Chewtle: Chewtle Chewtle!! Both Pokemon nod and Alan smiles. Alan: Then let's go. Alan and his Pokemon begin to head into the wild. Alan is in awe by the amount of Pokemon in the land. Alan: Wow, so many Pokemon huh guys? Alan looks down and sees that Scorbunny is missing. Alan: Uh, Chewtle where's Scorbunny? Chewtle nods his head to the side and Alan turns to see Scorbunny taunting a Gyrados. Alan quickly runs towards Scorbunny and grabs it and quickly runs away, Chewtle following them. Alan: No Scorbunny, no fighting the giant Pokemon. Scorbunny sighs and slouches. Alan smiles and sets Scorbunny down. Alan: Don't worry, we'll be training once I've registered for the Gym Challenge. Sound good? Scorbunny smiles and nods. Alan smirks. Alan: Alright then, onward to Motostoke then. Alan turns forward and sees a blue blur flying right at him. Alan ducks as the blue object flies up into the air and lands infront of Alan. Alan looks up to see a Heracross. Alan: What the- ???: I see you dodged my Heracross. A boy with white hair wearing a pink trench coat walks up beside the Heracross while a blue reptile and white kirby with its head shaped like a hat walk beside the trainer.

Alan: You made the Heracross attack me? Why? ???: To see if you're worthy to be in the gym challenge. Alan: What makes you so special?! The boy chuckles. Bede: The name's Bede, and I'm going to become the strongest trainer in Galar. Alan: And that gives you the right to be a jerk? Bede: I see you have a Dynamax Band. Planning on joining the Gym Challenge? Alan: I am. Bede: Heh, you won't make it past the first gym. Alan grips his fists. Alan: What? Bede: You're clearly weak, with only having a Scorbunny and a Chewtle. Alan: Are you trying to make me fight you? Bede: Heh, like I have time to battle a weak trainer like you. But if you want a battle, I'll give you a battle. Alan: Fine, let's do this. Bede smirks. Bede: Go Sobble!!! The blue reptile hops into battle, though looking like it's going to cry. Alan: Go Scorbunny!!! Scorbunny smirks and jumps in anticipation. Bede smirks. Bede: Already the battle's in my favor. Alan: We'll see. Use Double Kick!!! Scorbunny jumps towards Sobble and tries to kick Sobble. Bede: Dodge both kicks and then use Water Gun. Sobble quickly ducks as Scorbunny kicks twice. Sobble then starts crying and a beam of water comes out of it's mouth and hits Scorbunny. Scorbunny tumbles back but stands back up. Alan: You ok buddy? Scorbunny: Scor!!! Scorbunny nods and Alan smiles. Alan: Use Pound!!! Scorbunny runs up to Sobble and punches it, sending it tumbling back towards Bede. Sobble sits up and begins to cry. Bede sighs and pulls out a Pokeball. Bede: Return. Sobble returns to the Pokeball. Bede: We'll work on that Sobble. Go Heracross. Heracross flies into the battlefield. Alan: *thought* Oh no, Scorbunny doesn't know any fire type moves yet. This will be a challenge. Bede: Hope you're ready for a beating. Go, use Brick Break. Heracross's hands turn brown as it flies close to Scorbunny and hits it twice, sending Scorbunny into Alan. Alan catches Scorbunny and sees it's knocked out. Alan pulls out it's Pokeball and returns Scorbunny. Alan: You did well Scorbunny. Alan puts away the Pokeball. Bede: And here I was hoping you'd be good. Should've known better. Alan: I'm not done yet. Go Chewtle. Chewtle waddles into the battlefield. Bede: Heh, looks like it isn't focused. Now Heracross, use Mach Punch. Heracross stares directly at Chewtle and charges right at it. Alan: Quickly Chewtle, use Bite!!! Chewtle quickly looks at Heracross when Heracross starts punching real fast. Chewtle opens it's mouth and bites down on Heracross's hand. Heracross tries to shake it off but Chewtle won't budge. Bede smirks. Bede: Well, it was a nice effort. Alan: What? Bede: Heracross, Vital Throw. Heracross lifts Chewtle into the air and slams it into the ground. Chewtle let's go and rolls towards Alan and struggles to get up. Alan: CHEWTLE!!! Bede: Finish it with Brick Break. Heracross walks towards Chewtle and lifts it's hand. It glowd brown as Heracross swings downwards and hits Chewtle, knocking it out. Alan runs towards Chewtle as Bede brings Heracross into it's Pokeball. Alan kneels down and pulls out a Pokeball. Alan: You tried your best Chewtle. Rest now. Alan returns Chewtle to it's Pokeball. Alan looks up to see Bede staring down at him with malice in his eyes. Bede: Like I thought, weak. Alan: You're a jerk, you know that? Bede: No, I'm just the best in Galar. The Chairman knows it, and so will the whole region. Me and my Hatenna will be the best, mark my words. Bede turns around and starts heading towards a city. Alan gets up. Alan: I'll beat you Bede. Bede: You're to weak to beat me. Alan: Not now, but one day I'll beat you. And then I'll be champion. JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE!!! Bede stops and turns to look at Alan. Bede: What's your name? Alan: Alan. Alan Nordwick. Bede chuckles. Bede: Well then Alan, I can't wait to see when you beat me.... In your dreams. Bede continues walking as Alan stands there, realising he just met his rival.
