For his entire life, people thought Alan Nordwick wouldn't be a strong trainer, much less champion of the Galar Region. But Alan is going to show them that not only is he a strong trainer, but that he'll be the champion of the region.
Before I begin I would like to thank everyone who's reading this story. It means alot that this is getting alot of reads. Glad I could make a good Pokemon story that I enjoy writing and you guys enjoy reading. I know I need to write more often but that's just a problem I have with everything in general. Anyways, back to the story.
Alan: We're almost there guys. Alan, Scorbunny, and Chewtle are walking on path heading towards Turffield. Alan notices that Scorbunny is looking a bit down. Alan: Still mad about not being able to use Ember? Scorbunny: Scor. Alan smiles. Alan: We can train right now. We got a ways before we reach the gym, so training might be good for us. Besides, we need you to use a fire type move so that it'll be a little easy for us to win our first badge. Scorbunny nods and Alan stops and sets down his bag. Alan: Alright, let's do this. Chewtle, use Tackle!!! Chewtle charges at Scorbunny. Alan: Scorbunny, dodge and use Ember!!! Scorbunny jumps into the air. Suddenly, fire starts to form around Scorbunny's mouth. Alan: Alright, here we go!!! Scorbunny shoots a ball of fire from it's mouth but it just drops to the ground with no force. Scorbunny: Scoooorrrrrr!!!!! Scorbunny starts stomping around angrily. Alan: Let's try again Scorbunny. You can do this. Scorbunny nods and gets back in a fighting stance. Alan: Alright, once more Chewtle. Tackle!! Chewtle: Chew!! Chewtle charges at Scorbunny but Scorbunny dodges it. Alan: Now!! Use Ember Scorbunny!!! Scorbunny shoots a ball of fire from it's mouth but it again drops to the ground. Scorbunny gets mad and kicks it, sending it flying. Alan hears someone gasp and turns to see an older man dodge the flying fire ball.

Alan: Are you ok? ???: I'm fine kid. I'm guessing you're a Pokemon Trainer. Alan: Yeah. Name's Alan, and these are my Pokemon Scorbunny and Chewtle. Chewtle smiles at the man and Scorbunny waves. Kabu: Nice to meet you. I'm Kabu, thw fire type gym leader. Alan: Wait, you're a gym leader?! Kabu: Yes I am. So, why are you out here shooting fire balls at an old man? Alan: I didn't mean to, it's just that Scorbunny can't use Ember that well and we're training to make sure that Scorbunny can use it. Kabu: Hmmm, I see. Would you like some help? I am a fire type expert. Alan: That'll be great!!! Thank you! Kabu: Don't mention it. Now, let's begin the battle. Alan, Scorbunny, and Chewtle walk a few feet away and then Scorbunny gets ready to battle. Kabu pulls out a Pokeball. Kabu: Go Pansear!!! Kabu tosses the ball and a yellow and red monkey appears from the ball. Kabu: Now then, show me the Ember. Alan: Alright, use Ember!!! Scorbunny shoots a ball of fire from it's mouth but it just drops to the ground. Scorbunny starts getting mad. Kabu: Calm yourself Scorbunny, we will get you to the point where you will be able to learn Ember. Now, watch Pansear. Pansear, use Ember!!! Pansea shoots a ball of fire from it's mouth and it goes straight towards Scorbunny. Scorbunny quickly dodges the attack. Kabu: Now that you have seen how an Ember is usually fired, show us again. Scorbunny summons the fire ball and shoots it but it just drops to the ground again. Scorbunny is frustrated and stomps on the ball. Kabu: Hmmmm, strange. Most fire type Pokemon can use Ember easily. Your Scorbunny is peculiar. Alan: Yeah.... but we will learn this move. I believe in Scorbunny, and I know it can do this. Scorbunny looks back at Alan and smiles. Kabu smirks and nods. Kabu: Good. Always show the trust and faith you have with your Pokemon. It'll make your bonds stronger and closer. But how will you make Scorbunny use Ember properly if it can't fire it from it's mouth. Alan: Hmmm, well the Ember doesn't disappear when it drops to the ground, it just stays there. And whenever Scorbunny kicks it.... I got it!!! Kabu: You do? Then show me!!! Show me the Ember of your bond!!! Alan: Alright, Scorbunny, fire the Ember and then kick it at Pansear!!! Scorbunny shoots the Ember and then kicks it, sending the ball of fire flying straight at Pansear. Pansear tries to dodge it but the Ember hits directly and sends Pansear tumbling backwards. Kabu smiles as Scorbunny's eyes widen with pride and happiness. Alan: You did it Scorbunny!!! Alan and Chewtle run up to Scorbunny and the three jump with joy. Kabu returns Pansear and walks up to Alan. Kabu: That was amazing, I believe that you will be able to battle my friend Milo. Alan: Yeah. Thanks Kabu, for helping us. Kabu: My pleasure. I was just happy to see a boy and his Pokemon grow closer. Alan smiles. Alan: Well, I'll be seeing you soon Kabu. Kabu: I'm looking forward to when we truly battle. Kabu and Alan shake hands and Alan and his Pokemon walk off. As Kabu watches Alan, Scorbunny, and Chewtlw walk off, Kabu suddenly sees a young boy with dark skin and long blue hair walking with a Charmander and a Riolu. Kabu shakes his head and instead sees Alan and his pokemon. Kabu: *thoughts* That boy does remind me of him. Heh, maybe that Alan kid will beat you someday Leon. Kabu jogs off, looking forward to the future of Alan and his journey.
