The Gym Challenge Begins

Alan is sitting on a bench inside a Pokemon Center waiting for his Pokemon to be healed when he sees Hop enter the Center.
Alan: Hop!
Hop looks and sees Alan and walks over to him.
Hop: Everything alright? What happend?
Alan: Met some jerk named Bede. Wiped the floor with Chewtle and Scorbunny.
Hop: They ok?
Alan: Yeah, Nurse Joy is healing them up now. What brings you here?
Hop: I came here to get some potions. Wooloo and Grookey were training hard and they need to get healed, though they aren't bad enough to where Nurse Joy needs to see them.
Alan: That's good.
Hop notices Alan's hands are fidgeting.
Hop: You ok?
Alan: Not really.
Hop sits next to Alan.
Hop: It's that fight wasn't it?
Alan: It's not the fact that he beat me, it's the fact that he beat me so easily. He barely had to try.
Hop: Well, it's going to happen Alan. We aren't always going to have a quick step to victory, or an even match. Sometimes, they'll be people who are just better then us, but if we train harder and try our best, we'll be able to do it.
Alan smiles.
Alan: Thanks for the pep talk Hop.
Hop: Always happy to help. Also looks like your Pokemon are finished healing.
Alan looks up to see Nurse Joy coming out with two Pokeballs. Alan gets up and grabs the balls.
Alan: Thanks Nurse Joy.
Joy: My pleasure. Have a nice day.
Alan nods and leaves the Pokemon Center with Hop.
Hop: So, you ready to go get ready for the Gym Challenge?
Alan: Yeah, I am now.
Hop smiles.
Hop: Then let's go!!
Hop starts running and Alan follows after him. The two are heading towards a stadium when they stop.
Hop: There it is, the place where our adventure begins.
Alan: I can't wait.
The two enter the stadium and head to the front desk where a woman is sitting there.
Hop: Hi, I'm Hop and this here is Alan Nordwick. We're here to register for the Gym Challenge.
The woman starts clicking buttons and two cards appear.
Clerk: Here you go. Alan and Hop, sponsored by Champion Leon.
Alan: Wait what?
The two grab the cards and see their name on the card and in a slot for sponsor, Leon's name is there.
Hop: Heh, he really had to surprise us huh?
Alan: He sure did.
Clerk: By the way, did you hear? The chairman is about to begin his speech.
Hop: He's here? Right now?
Clerk: Yes he-
Hop quickly runs deeper into the stadium.
Alan: Sorry, he's just excited.
Alan quickly follows Hop. Alan and Hop are now in the stands of a huge arena. In the field is a man wearing a grey suit with black slicked hair and a beard.
Alan: Hey look it's-
Hop: Ssshhhh, he's about to speak.
The man clears his throat and begins to speak.
Rose: My name is Rose, as many of you have probably already guessed, and I'm the one who runs the Pokemon League.
The stadium starts clapping, and Rose waits for it the applause to die down.
Rose: I wanted to make Pokemon Battles fun, unlike other regions I wanted you all to have a front row seat to see how gym battles to go, to see exciting and amazing battles from young trainers and the great gym leaders we have here in the region. So as usual, we have a bunch of trainers beginning their gym challenge to battle all eight gyms... and ten gym leaders.
The crowd gasps, and Hop and Alan look at each other in shock.
Rose: Usually I only allow eight gym leaders each year to be in control of their gyms but this year I allowed two gyms to have two gym leaders running the show, so try extra hard to win trainers.
The stadium cheers ad Rose waits again for the crowd to die down.
Rose: You all must be excited to see if we will get a new champion this year, because as you know my son Leon is the reigning champion for a while now. But I have full confidence that this year will be an amzing years. So tune in people of Galar to see stunning entertainment, exciting battles, and action like never before!!!! And trainers, I'll be cheering every one of you on!!! Now go, and be the best you that you can ever be!!
The crowd goes wild as Rose leaves the field.
Alan: Your dad always tries to make the crowd feel pleased.
Hop: It's his gift. Let's go see him.
The two trainers run out and see Rose signing autographs.
Hop: Dad!!!
Rose turns and smiles as he sees his son. The two hug.
Rose: Hop!! It's so good to see you my son, I've missed you. How's your mother?
Hop: She's fine, wants you to come home.
Rose: Heh, I want to come home soon. Maybe after this years Championship I'll take a 5 month vacation? Sounds great?
Hop: Yes!!!
Rose sees Alan and smiles.
Rose: Nordwick, good to see you again. See you and my boy got Pokemon.
Alan: Yes sir, we have.
Rose: And I guess that means you both are in the Gym Challenge.
Hop: Yep, Leon is even sponsoring us.
Rose: He is? He didn't tell me.
Hop: Probably wanted to surprise you.
Rose: That would be something Leon would do. Anyways, it was nice seeing you son. You too Alan. I'll hopefully be seeing you both.
Rose waves as he walks away.
Alan: It was nice to see your dad again.
Hop: Yeah it was. So, now we're officially taking the Gym Challenge.
Alan: Yeah, we are. So, where to first?
Hop: Well the first gym is in Turffield, so we might as well head over there. I'll head out first if you want to train some more.
Alan: Ok, I'll be seeing you.
The two leave the stadium and Hop heads off on his own. Alan pulls out the two Pokeballs that hold his Pokemon.
Alan: We'll show them that we're strong.
Alan then heads towards the Wild Area, so that he'll be ready to face the first gym.
