Poem #26

19 4 4

Relationships flow everywhere
Freely around this forsaken place.
Everyone has their match
Everyone is happy
Except for me.
I don't need anybody or anything for that matter
I can live with myself,
I think.
But the truth is,
No one is my match here
Or possibly anywhere.
So while everyone else is going on about their other half
I am sitting in the corner telling myself that
I'm alright
And there is nothing wrong with me
I don't need a relationship anyways
It's a waste of time.
But as I do so, all I can see are the smiling faces around me
And the pitiful reflection of my misery in the mirror.
