(We see a couple walking down a hill a boy and a girl)
- Maikeru Seran Kinon: I'm sorry I haven't been able to come and see you. I've been kept busy most of the time.
- Yukine Korishinzo: I told you it's okay. We both have responsibilities after all.
- Maikeru: yeah but if my father didn't train me all day long we could spend more time together.
- Yukine: I'm sure he just wants you to be prepared.
- Maikeru: Yuki, you know very well that the only thing they prepare just to be warriors who should follow orders. I'm tired of all this.
- Yukine: well... you should atleast be thankful that your father is still alive. I wish I could say the same about my parents.
(Maikeru looks at Yukine)
- Maikeru: hey... don't say things like that. They sacrificed to protect you, to make sure you would live on.
(Yukine keeps her head down with a sad look on her face)
- Heather: still. If we had only found this place sooner. They would still be alive. I still miss them.
(Maikeru places his hand on Heather's shoulder as they stop walking)
- Maikeru: I know I can't fill those empty places in your heart. But I want you to know that I love you.
- Yukine: I know. And I believe you and I love you too. How could I not? You're one of a kind after all.
- Maikeru: yeah I guess I'm quite unique. By the way... you know, my offer still stands.
(Yukine smiles at maikeru)
- Yukine: what offer?
- Maikeru: you know. Let's run away. Live our own lives. Get married. Start our own family. I promise I'll protect you and love you wherever we are. You make me repeat myself intentionally don't you?
- Yukine: what about Libertalia though?
- Maikeru: all that's left for me here is you. My father can take good care of himself. Not to mention we don't really bond or anything.
- Yukine: hmm. Let's do this. We'll leave in my eighteenth birthday. Sounds good?
- Maikeru: well I rather wait two more years than a lifetime. But don't back out when the time comes.
- Yukine: (chuckles) I promise.
(They remain silent for a moment)
- Maikeru: wait I almost forgot I made something for you yesterday. (he said as he searched for something in his pockets)
- Yukine: that selective memory of yours doesn't seem to change(chuckles).
(Maikeru feels something in his pocket)
- Maikeru: Oh here it is.
(Maikeru pulls out a necklace out of his pocket. A heart made of what seemed to be a blueish crystal shaped like a heart with a red core. Yukine seemed surprised when she saw the necklace.)
- Maikeru: I couldn't sleep yesterday and I started thinking of you. So I made this. I thought it looked kind of silly. I'll understand if you don't like it. (He said while scratshing the back of his head)
- Yukine: it's beautiful. (She said as she blushed)
- Maikeru: r-really? Well I'm happy you like it.
(Maikeru gives the necklace to Yukine. Heather takes a look at the necklace and looked at Maikeru while saying.)
- Yukine: how did you get it to look red in the inside?
