Ep.2- To Know Who We Are

-morning after the fall of Libertalia-

(We see the shack where Maikeru and Senso last went to. Senso was sitting on a log outside while sharpening a long two edged sword. He looks forward and sees Maikeru walking towards him from the forrest)

- Senso: seems someone couldn't sleep.

(Maikeru looks at Senso)

- Maikeru: I couldn't, I went back. Dug a grave for anyone that wasn't burned to a crisp.

(Maikeru stops in front of Senso)

- Senso: how many did you burry?

(Maikeru looks down)

- Maikeru: 7 of them. My father, Miss Niruyama and other adults from the village.

(Senso looks back at his sword and continues to sharpen it)

- Maikeru: for some reason I didn't see any children or teenagers. Not one. I didn't see any of the enemy's corpses either.

- Senso: I see. I believe I know why.

(Maikeru looks at Senso again)

- Maikeru: Do you have an idea of what might have happened?

(Senso stops sharpening the sword)

- Senso: well it's pretty simple to be honest. The reason you were all caught off guard is because the enemy didn't just walk into the village.

- Maikeru: well with the damage done in such short time it should have been a large group. They couldn't just sneak in.

(Senso stabs the sword to the ground and looks at Maikeru)

- Senso: they didn't sneak in.

(Maikeru sits before Senso)

- Senso: then how did they just arrive out of nowhere without everyone noticing that they where close. (Thought) unless.

- Senso: a teleporting ability, it's a rare thing to come across of but highly effective for this type of thing. Ever heard of such?

- Maikeru: I have but I'm pretty sure you can't teleport others along with you and it should have a cooldown. Therefore there should have been more that on person who could use that's kind of magic. But doesn't teleporting others deplete your energy?

- Senso: it should. Infact they all shouldn't be able to move afterwards. To teleport others along with you, you have to link everyone's energy for it to work. None of them could've had "pure energy" that's for sure. Must have been unstable or dark energy. That's the only way I could understand it working.

- Maikeru: what do you mean by pure, unstable and dark energy.

- Senso: you don't know about that?

( Maikeru scratches the back of his head in qgreement to this statement)

- Maikeru: well it's not that I haven't heard from this before but I never really got deep into that topic.

- Senso: well the moment you're born it's decided wether your energy is pure type, unstable type and dark type. As you might have expect pure is the most common, and not that there aren't any exception but it's normally the weakest type there is. Next there's dark, as the name says it's darkened energy, twisted possessed by those who worship Satan or demons or have sinned in many occasions. Yes it may outpower pure energy but each thing has it's price. It takes over your mind, spirit and body, once this happens to you, you simply can't go back to who you used to be. And last but not least there's unstable energy. It's almost as strong as dark energy thought It also has it's ups and downs. Those who don't use it wisely can lose it all.
