-(morning) Several hours after the fall of Libertalia-
(We see a house in the forrest. On the second floor there a boy in his room sitting on his bed starring at the ground.)
[Flashback]
(One night at the Branwen castle eight years ago. A boy and a girl meet up at a storage)
- [young] Aaron Branwen: you're here, did you bring what I asked u for?
- [young] Sashi Branwen: I-I did. It's in that crate.
(She said as she pointed at one of the crates in the room. Aaron then walks to the crate and takes out a rope with a hook.)
- Aaron: okay. This should work nicely.
(Aaron walks to a window and opens it then sets the hook and throws the rest of the rope out the window.)
- Sashi: brother?
- Aaron: yeah, what is it?
(he looks at Sashi and noticed she's sad)
- Aaron: Sashi what's the matter.
- Sashi: are you really going to leave?
(Aaron looks away)
- Aaron: yeah. I have to, I can't stand the pain and abuse anymore. It's better this way.
(Sashi hugs Aaron. And looks down at Sashi and sees her crying)
- Sashi: but I don't want you to go. I'll be all alone.
(Aaron places his left hand on Sashi's head)
- Sashi: hey it's alright, there's no need to cry you won't be alone.
- Sashi: if you're not going to be here I don't want to be here either. I'll do anything so you can stay.I'll talk with father and Margaret. I'll get them to stop treating like you're nothing. Just please don't leave me alone Aaron!
- Aaron: it's no use Sashi you tried that before. This is my only option.
- Sashi: then let me come with you. I'll be good, I'll listen to you and help you with anything?
- Aaron: I can't take you with me. What if you get sick or hungry? I have nothing to treat you with.
(Sashi looks at Aaron in the eyes and says)
- Sashi: what if you get sick or hungry, who's going to take care of you!?
- Aaron: I'll just learn how to survive. Look I'll come visit you if you stop crying.
- Sashi: do you promise?
- Aaron: I promise.
(Sashi lets go of Aaron and wipes off her tears)
- Sashi: then I'll be waiting.
(Aaron smiles at Sashi then climbs out the window and gets down using the rope. Aaron waves at Sashi then runs away)
- Sashi: I'll be waiting, brother.
[The flashback ends]
- Aaron: (thought) I'm nothing more than a liar. I gave her an empty promise that I didn't keep because I was scared to go back. Maybe I should've stayed and bared the pain.
(A female voice calls out to Aaron but he's lost in his thoughts)
- Aaron: (thought) I should have been stronger, but I only cared about myself.
(Someone places their hand on Aaron's left shoulder. A teenage girl calls out to Aaron)
