Dohee sat at the bleachers doing her homework alone. Her best friend was down in the field playing soccer with other boys. Junho stopped playing for a second and walked over to her. "Did Jiyoung give you her costume?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's in my bag. I have to work after school, so I'll change after I'm done and then we can go together." Dohee said.
"Great. Don't try to make an excuse to leave. I need you with me." Junho said.
"Don't worry. I will." She said. She looked over at the field and saw Minhee playing soccer with the other boys. She couldn't help but adore him.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer." Junho said, taking bite of his food.
"I wish I was noticeable to him." Dohee said.
"Do you want to be with him, or do you want to go to Stanford?" Junho asked.
"Stanford is obviously my first choice. Nothing can beat that. Not even a boy. A really cute, nice boy." Dohee awed.
"Yuck. I bet there will be tons of other boys when you go to America." Junho said.
"But they won't be Minhee." She said. The bell rang. Junho stood up, the helped up Dohee. "Let's got to class." She said.
After school, Junho gave Dohee a ride to the cafe. She thanked Junho and walked inside. She walked over the the counter and grabbed her apron, wrapping it around her. "What time does your carnival start?" Jiyoung asked.
"At seven. Ends at one." Dohee answered.
"Why so late?" Jiyoung asked.
Dohee shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not the one who planned it." She said. She began taking orders from people. Then walked back and forth from table to table, bring dishes, taking dishes, taking orders, and bringing checks.
The door swings open, entering Minhee, Eunsang, Minji, and her friends. They sit at a table closer to the door. "I got it." Dohee muttered. She grabbed a notepad and a pen and walked over to their table. "Hi, can I get you anything?" She asked.
"Fifteen cupcakes."
"One chocolate cake. Again, he's not paying." Minhee interrupted. Eunsang glared at him. Dohee gave a slight smile as she wrote it down.
"Anything else? Like drinks?" Dohee asked.
"We'll have water." Minji exclaimed. Dohee flinched at her loud voice.
"And you two?" Dohee asked.
"Chocolate milkshakes." Minhee said.
"Alright, I'll be back." Dohee said. She went back over to the counter and gave Jiyoung the list.
"Chocolate milkshakes and a chocolate cake. And water? What kinda girls are they?" Jiyoung asked.
"Annoying." Dohee said as she was grabbing a whole cake. She walked over to the table and gently placed the cake in front of them.
"Are you going to the carnival?" Eunsang asked.
"Why do you care if she's going or not? Just let her do her stupid job." Minji said. Minhee shook his head in disappointment. He then looked at Dohee apologetically.
"Yeah, my friend is picking me up later." Dohee answered.
"Cool. We'll see you there then." Minhee said. Dohee nodded her head, and walked behind the counter.
"I'm going to throw that girl if she's starts talking again." Jiyoung said.
"I've been dealing with her for years now. If I can go that long, so can you. Just let her be. Karma will come to her one day." Dohee joked.
