With Parker and Rowan I usually find I am the one making mistakes, getting into problems, and this situation was no exception. Parker and Rowan were probably having fun somewhere, and I am here, in this stinky bathroom. I have never thought of myself as claustrophobic, but after ten minutes stuck in the sticky grey stall, I felt as if the walls were closing in on me. I shook the bathroom stall latch again, even though I knew it wouldn't budge.
"Rowan?" I called out once more.
"Parker?" desperation rang through my voice.
Either everyone in this bar had really big bladders, or they were peeing somewhere else, because no one had come in since I locked myself in here. I looked at the grubby floor, I have no choice, I thought. Soon I would be back at the fancy hotel and I could have a warm shower.
There was not a lot of space between the stall door and the ground, but I tried to ignore that. I got down on all fours and started trying to wriggle out. Toilet paper was strewn around the floor and I could only hope it was clean. One more push and I will be out I thought in desperation. Suddenly I felt myself stop moving, I clawed on the ground and looked for anything to pull myself out with, but there was nothing. I tried to turn around and grab onto the stall door, but I couldn't move. For the first time on the road trip I felt like crying. At any moment someone might come in here and see me stuck. Suddenly the door of the bathroom swung open, I could hardly lift my head up, but I knew from the shoes it was Hayden.
"Rowan?" Hayden called.
"Hey Hayden, do you think you could help me out?" I said eating my pride. I heard him give a little snort. Then he turned around and left.
