Soon it was the Yule Ball, Hermione was sitting in the forest, crying.
"Hermione? Are you okay?" Charlie asked, sitting down next to her. She wiped her eyes, the tears were still falling.
"It's just, I think everyone's got a date for the Yule Ball, and no ones asked me. And no one will" he put his arm around the fifteen year old.
"Hey look at me" she looked up at him, "If you want I'll take you, I mean I'm going and we're friends aren't we?" Hermione smiled, and hugged him.
"Thank you Charlie, you're a really good friend" he blushed as she hugged him and hugged her back.
"No problem" Hermione smiled and headed back into school, Charlie smiled at her as she walked off.

Soon enough it was the night of the Yule Ball, Hermione looked at herself in the mirror, her blueish more periwinkle dress flowed down to the floor.

Hermione peeked around the side off the wall, Harry and Ron we're talking about her, she could tell. With as much confidence she could muster she stepped out and walked down the steps, Harry and Ron's mouths dropped. Her hair was beautiful and not bushy at all. Charlie walked past them. The brunette smiled as the second eldest Weasley kissed her hand, before taking it in his. Ron gasped but Harry smiled.

"You look beautiful tonight" Charlie told her as they danced around the room. Hermione blushed, and gazed into his eyes.
"You don't look half bad yourself" Charlie chuckled, Hermione could ask always make anyone laugh. She was really witty. Charlie and Hermione both chatted whilst they danced.

After a while Charlie went to get drinks and Hermione sat down with Harry and Ron.
"Why are going with Charlie" Ron asked, Hermione looked at him.
"Because no one else asked me" she explained. Ron sighed.
"Hermione, I wanted to ask you, but I was scared you'd say no" Ron told her, blushing lightly.
"I would've, I don't like you like that" she told him, the brunette patted him on the arm before walking off. She walked out to the corridor and took a deep breath in.
"Hey" he smiled, leaning against the wall. As he breathed she could smell he was drunk.
"You're drunk Charlie, you should head to bed" she told him. He laughed and leaned in close to her. His lips pushed against hers. At the first the young girl was shocked, but soon she kissed back. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight. When he pulled off her he smiled at her before he fell to the ground, unconscious.
"CHARLIE!!" Hermione screamed and pulled him up onto her shoulder and got her to Madam Pomfrey. The woman was shocked and asked her what happened.
"He passed out" Hermione told her. The woman nodded, all he needed was rest. Hermione decided to stay with him until he woke up. Hermione took his hand in hers before falling asleep.

"Hermione?" Charlie sat up, Hermione opened her eyes turned to face him.
"Hey" she smiled. He realised they were holding hands and blushed.
"Come here" he smiled, she crawled onto the bed. He wrapped his arm around her, her head was rested on his chest.
"Hermione, thank you. For staying with me"
"No problem" she smiled at him. He kissed the top of her head.
"Hermione, listen, tomorrow I'm leaving, I won't be back until a week before the final task" She seemed upset and snuggled further into him. Charlie hugged her tight.
"I'm going to miss you" she told him.
"I'll miss you too, but you should go be with Ron and Harry. I'll be fine" she smiled at him. As she was getting up he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him. Their lips connected. Hermione blushed before walking off.

Hermione smiled as she spent the rest of the Holidays with her two best friends. She didn't see Charlie leave.
