Hermione smiled as she woke up, it was one week before the final task. Charlie was coming back today. She hurried around getting ready. It was the weekend so there wasn't any lessons. As fast as she could she ran down the staircases, towards the lake. She saw Dragons flying in. Carts loaded on their backs. When the Dragons landed Hermione saw Charlie hop off. The brunette bolted towards him, she flung her arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around her waist. Her feet were off the floor.
"Charlie!" Hermione smiled. Charlie smiled too.
"Hey 'Mione" Charlie whispered in her ear. Charlie's colleagues smiled as they saw him hugging the young brunette.
As he put her down he placed his arm around her and took her to look at the creatures they had. The two smiled as Hermione stroked the Dragons. All of the other people there smiled, they could see how much Charlie cared about this girl. Charlie pulled Hermione aside.
"Look 'Mione, I really like you" Hermione blushed.
"I really like you too Charlie"
"But right now, you're too young. When you're seventeen, we can date. If you still want to, that is. I'll be waiting for you" Hermione smiled, and kissed his cheek.

Charlie kissed the top of Hermiones head before she walked to the Great Hall for breakfast.

She smiled as Harry waved over to her.
Ron and Harry both smiled as she sat down with them.
"Where've you been?" Harry asked as Hermione started stuffing food down her throat. Hermione summoned a piece of paper and jotted something down.
With Charlie
Was written on it.

Hermione hurriedly finished her food and sprinted back outside. Ron and Harry followed her confused. Charlie hugged Hermione as she returned. When he saw Ron he hugged him too. Ron and Harry walked off but Hermione stayed with Charlie for a bit. He showed her more of the creatures and they had a great time. By lunch Charlie told Hermione that needed to start setting up the third task, she nodded and hugged him before leaving. He gazed after her.

A week later it was the final task and Hermione was comforting Harry, preparing him.
"I don't think I can do it 'Mione" She smiled at him.
"You can, trust me I've seen what they've got in store, you can beat them. You can win" he hugged her, she hugged him back.
"Good Luck Harry" she whispered in his ear before going to sit with Charlie in the front row.

Loud cheers erupted all around as Harry returned but Hermione could tell something was wrong. As fast as she could she ran down towards Harry.
"Harry? What's wrong" Hermione asked, then she saw the lifeless body of Cedric Diggory. Before she could scream she heard Fleurs bloodcurdling scream pierce the night. As tight as she could she hugged Harry, he hugged her too. His tears falling into her chest. Dumbledore came down, but Harry just couldn't stop crying.

As Harry finally calmed down and was taken aside Charlie came over to Hermione. She was in shock. Sure she'd seen some horrible things so far, but not a dead body. Also when Harry hugged her she'd seen Cedric die, it just somehow appeared in her head.
Charlie hugged her and got her off the Quidditch Pitch. Amos Diggory was wailing.

Charlie comforted Hermione in the Gryffindor Common room, when Ron and Harry returned Charlie left, he needed to get back to Romania. He kissed the top of Hermiones head before leaving.
