Allocen (pronounced: Allo-ken)

Allocen paced around the center of the room, his hands knotted together behind his back.

"It seems not only to me, but also to the Master of the Underworld, that the lower leveled members of the Enoch have proven themselves to be utterly useless," Allocen eyed some of the members who were wearing the bracelets and necklaces.

The crowd remained silent.

"The reason being," he continued, "is that not a single one of you insolent fools succeeded in noticing that we have a new target reaching the age of metamorphosis." He spat the words out angrily. "There was only one person who attempted to recruit the target."

Allocen swiveled on his heels towards the direction of someone in the crowd.

"Enepsigos will be promoted to the 2nd level of the Enoch. She is currently in the first few stages of recruiting the girl." He spoke coldly.

A thin blonde girl turned around to listen to the messages of congratulation coming from her friends.

"Now normally we would send in a level three, such as myself to recruit a target of her strength and value, but since Enepsigos has already formed a bond with the target, we will allow her to complete all but the end task." He spoke again.

"I want all of you to watch the girl and make sure that she is well on the path to damnation. This is the only way that Lucifer will forgive us." Allocen paused, this time for long, scanning the crowd of damned beings before him. "Lastly, I would like all of you to be weary. There may be a several starlets who will enter this area also with the intention of recruiting our target, there may even be an angelic in the worst case."

"Meeting dismissed." He hissed out the syllables.

Everyone stood up and the crowd began to scatter. Some left immediately, recklessly taking to the sky, and others stayed to congratulate the fledgling girl who'd been promoted.

He spotted someone that he'd never have expected to attend. The level four demon sat next to a fledgling demon of darkness. He was staring angrily at the newly promoted blonde fledgling. The anger burnt deep within his unforgettable eyes and Allocen felt a minuscule pinch of intimidation nag at his chest. The demon was a level higher than himself. He'd already been gifted with the ring of the Underworld. Allocen could not recall the boy's name, since his fame and power had faded away like his presence at their meetings, but the boy's power exceeded his reputation. Allocen could sense the strong throbbing aura radiating from the direction of the boy.

The boy turned his gaze toward Allocen. His eyes gave away no emotion but he seemed to be fiddling violently with his fingers. Despite the boy's stature, Allocen decided to confront the young man.

"A demon of your estate is most unexpected to be attending a meeting of the 2nd Enoch," he spoke professionally as he approached the boy.

"I'm not a demon." He replied, dismissing the initial question and continued staring at the crowd.

Allocen wanted to strangle the boy for his ignorance. Instead he nodded and turned towards the blonde fledgling, Enepsigos, whom the boy had been angrily inspecting earlier.

"Why do you stare at her with such ferocity?" He asked curiously.

The boy said nothing, but rather turned away and rubbed his chin.

"I understand," Allocen spoke quietly, "you wanted to redeem your name by claiming the girl, and now Enepsigos has robbed you of the opportunity."

He only realized that the boy had been tensing until he saw him relax his shoulders. This made Allocen suspicious.

"Yes," was all that the boy said back.

"Well if that is the reason you carry scorn in your heart, then allow me to make a proposal." Allocen lowered his voice. If he could get this ignorant young demon on his side, he could use this to rise in the council of the Underworld.

"I wish to make no offers or deals with you Allocen." The boy said sternly.

Before Allocen could elaborate on his brilliant proposal, the boy stood up and started off toward the exit of the mausoleum.

Allocen did nothing but watch the young man drag himself out if the room.

The boy lifted his arms so that they were in line with his shoulders and he let out a soft sigh as his sleek black wings slid smoothly out of the flesh in his back. His wings gleamed with a luminescent turquoise colour that Allocen had never seen in his lifetime, and they loomed over his figure like two powerful dark companions. He was getting ready to take off.

"Before you go," Allocen rushed his words.

The boy paused.

"They will ruin her." Allocen tried a different approach.

The boy remained in his frozen position.

"I can help you."

The boy turned his head slightly towards his left shoulder so that he could see Allocen in his peripheral vision.

"I will see you again." He said cryptically before looking forward once more.

A loud thud startled the silent air and the boy took off into the sky, his wings beating with the strength of a thousand men.

Allocen could see his gleaming dark wings reflect the moonlight from a mile away.
