Stormberry's Secret [A Warriors AU Fanfic] {On Hold}

Chapter Eleven

"There is no need to fight!" Flamedew shouted as the group got back.
"The foxes are on our land because of Burrowclan, Flamedew! And you expect us not to fight?!" A yellow cat, Treebuzz, who was the mate and advisor of the Jungleclan leader, Dandelionstar, who was currently expecting their kits.
"Was this your idea or Dandelionstar's, Treebuzz?!" Flamedew shouted again over the commotion so he could be heard. Treebuzz scoffed and then snarled, unsheathing his claws.
"Hers of course!" He hisses, tackling the other advisor to the ground. Stormberry suddenly remembered Alderflame and ran across the camp. She found his next empty, but he was outside, snarling at a she-cat with brown fur and a spotted body, Deerspots, who was Dandelionstar's sister. Behind Alderflame and Goldenheart were the apprentices and a pregnant Sliverfrost.
"I don't want to fight you!" Deerspots explains as Alderflame continues to hiss.
"Oh yeah?" He snarls.
"Why should we believe you, young'un??" Goldenheart demanda with a hiss.
"It wasn't supposed to happen this way! Some of us were just supposed to come and warn Burrowclan, but Treebuzz made it into a war!" Stormberry's ears perk at that statement and she runs towards the high rock. For a moment, she freezes, watching the cats battle out, before she comes to her senses and yowls... or at least she thinks she did. But the sound that comes out isn't hers.

The fighting stops and everyone is looking at the entrance of camp, where Duskstar is sitting near the entrance. Beside him is an all black cat with blue eyes and a Ginger cat with a torn ear and yellow eyes who looks visibly pregnant. The black cat and the ginger were Ravenstar and Dandelionstar, leader of Moonclan and Jungleclan respectively. Their medicine cats-Sunshine, a black with dark green eyes, Batpounce of Moonclan, and two black cats, the first one with a tattered ear and red was Batflight and the second with brown eyes was Squirrelsplash of Jungleclan.
Some cats flattened their ears and backed up, frightened by their gazes.
"I did not authorize this war," Dandelionstar began looking directly at Cherrystar who stood in the middle of camp next to Daisyvine, Dandelionstar's mother who had attacked her earlier, "I simply told my advisor to bring a few of my warriors and warn you that we would take measures to make sure that those foxes did not trespass on our land. Clearly he did not listen!" She snarls as Treebuzz looks down in shame, pelt probably hot with embarrassment as his mate and leader glared at him.
"You lied to me!" Flamedew says in surprise, blue eyes widened and ears perked. Hearing a groan of pain, a Stormberry jumps down from the high rock to tend to Alderflame.

"You didn't all have to come... so why did you?" Cherrystar asks, coming closer to the leaders.
"Strength in numbers. Besides, I could not come and break up a fight in my state." Dandelionstar explains, diplomatic as always.
"I see... anything else you need?"
"No. However... I would like to know who authorized these foxes being driven into my territory." Dandelionstar demands in a calm and soft voice. It goes quiet again, and the only thing that can be heard is Stormberry whispering to the apprentices, Alderflame, Goldenheart and Sliverfrost asking about their conditions.

When it looked like Songfeather was going to speak, Thunderpelt sighed from behind her.
"It was me. I did not think of the consequences of my actions, and it was a spur of the moment decision. I apologize for not thinking clearly and it will not happen again." Thunderpelt explains, dipping his head to the leader. Dandelionstar looks at him squinting before nodding.
"I appreciate your honesty Thunderpelt, you were always known for that. However... I want you to go with some of my warriors and help clear out the foxes. As for your punishment in Burrowclan, I'm sure Cherrystar will come up with something for you."
"Gladly." Cherrystar murmurs as cats on either side pretend not to look at her as she says these words. Everyone knew that Cherrystar loved Thunderpelt, and although he was a stubborn cat, he had never done something like this.
He was definitely in trouble now.
"Thunderpelt... in addition to helping clear out the foxes on Jungleclan land, you will stay in the elder's den with Goldenheart until further notice. Is that clear?" Thunderpelt hesitates to answer before nodding.
"Yes, Cherrystar. I understand."
