Chapter 1: News from Galar

So basically your first pokemon is a Jolteon and you have it since it was an eevee. It was given to you as your first pokemon. The other pokemon will be discovered during the story, i don't want to spoil to much!

Let's start.

I was chilling in my room, looking at the certificate i received just a few days ago.

"Champion of the Kanto League"

It was difficult, but not so special. About ten or so people manage to finish their gym challenge in a few months.

But i was satisfied after all. Not all Pewter City teens can say that they are a pokemon champion. It is a small city; I remember how Lance was surprised when i told him i was from Pewter City. In fact, only me, Brock and a few other trainers are really a challenge here.

But while i was thinking of my victory in the League, i heard the door bell ringing. It was probably my mother back from the groceries store. I came down to open the door.

"Y/N, can you help me with the bags?"

"Sure. What have you bought?"

"Well I bought your favourite ice cream and some burgers"

"Nice! Mom you are the best"

"No i just wanted to celebrate a new pokemon champion. I was sure you could make it!"

"Yeah you were like my N°1 fan since the beginning ahah. Thank you though"

Dinner was ready in about an hour. After it, my mother told me she wanted to talk about something important.

I was finishing my ice cream when she told me that.

"Uh ok, what do you want to talk about ma'?"

"I got a call from your dad friend Kabu. He lives in the Galar region."

"Galar region? Where is it?"

"It's a region near Kalos with lot of pokemon that don't live here in Kanto"

My dad works in Kalos, so i knew quite well where Kalos was, but wait, new pokemon?

"Sounds cool; btw, what did he want?"

"So, he knew from your father that you became a Kanto champion, and wants to... Well he wants you to become the new gym leader in Motostoke since he decided to retire. He isn't young and energetic anymore ahah"

I choked on my ice cream.

" *cough* WHAT?!?"

"Well it surprised me too and honestly i was about to say no for you, but i think that this is your decision. You are 18 after all, and you are used to be away from home since you did the gym challenge"

"That's not the point... It's just that the gym leader role is something kinda important. Mastering just one type of pokemon and all... I don't know what to say"

"But you are quite good with electric types. I never seen someone so good at battling with a Jolteon!"

Jolteon. It was with me since it was an eevee, and it was my first pokemon. I started my journey with him and i finished it with him, when his thunderbolt defeated Lance's Dragonite. It was a loyal friend.

"So you say that if i want to go to galar, i have to say goodbye to everyone for a while..."

"I think you can take Jolteon with you, nobody can separate you two after all!"

I took a few seconds to think. Was it worth it? After all, i don't have anything important to do now. I could start studying for becoming a pokemon master in the Viridian City university. But I am not a big brained smartass, I love to travel and being outside, not to study some IVs, Evs or whatever. But after all, i'm 18 y old and i shouldn't procrastinate like a lazy sheesh. I should seriously start thinking of my future as an adult. I am a pokemon champion after all, i should search a nice work somewhere but not so far from Kanto! And...

"Y/N? Are you ok?"

I thought for too much.

"Well you don't have to decide now, you can take a few days to make this important decision"

"I accept"

"Oh, really? it was fast"

"I have to mature and learn to make important choices"

"You really have grown up, dear"

"Thanks ma', so anyway, when should i leave?"

"I will ask Kabu for to give me all the information you need, for now, just relax. You still have to recover from your journey!"

"Yeah you're right. Well i'm heading to my room now and get some rest for now. Bye ma'!"

"Bye Y/N"
