Chapter 2: New Faces (Part 1/3)

(So you gained all the info and prepared your stuff. After some days, you byed your mom and went to the Vermillion city pier to take the S. S. Aqua)

So after 2 weeks I was ready to go to Galar. Become a gym leader, become indipendent, become adult. 

That was scary; but i knew i could do it, i was a champion after all.

The S. S. Aqua spent some hours travelling across the sea to arrive at the Hulbury pier. Once i got off, i could smell that the air was different from Kanto. It was such a strange sensation. 

A female voice came to my ears.

?- "Excuse me, are you Y/N?"

I turned around to see who she was. A beautiful, blue haired girl with blue eyes.

"Yep it's me, Y/N L/N"

N- "Nice to meet you! My name is Nessa and I'm the Hulbury gym leader. Welcome to the Galar region! How was the journey?"

she said extending her right hand to greet m. I shook her hand and answered. 

"It was fine, even if i'm not used to long journeys tough. So, i should go to Motostoke now right?"

N- "Exactly. Kabu asked me to accompany you since is quite a long trip to the south west. Well you could use the  Corviknight taxi service but i don't think you will like it at the first impact. It's kinda different from the old taxi service. And you can't even take the train since some Wooloos are blocking the railway"

Corviknight taxi? Wooloo? What does she mean? Anyway, having someone to walk with after hours of sea travelling alone, and that someone is a goodlooking girl, doesn't sound like a bad idea.

"Oh well, it's no problem to go with you at all ahah, so, to the southwest uh?"

N- "Yes, we have to go trough Galar Mine No. 2. It is full of water pokemon, but u shouldn't worry since you are an electric type expert right?"

"Er i'm not really an expert but i won the Kanto league. I knew from a researh i did before going here that your league is kinda different, like no elite 4 and with a final tournament, but it's still something to be a Kanto champion right?"

N-"It sure can be one of the reasons Kabu wanted you to take over his gym. Anyway, shall we go?"

"After you, Nessa"

The Galar Mine No.2 was nice to see. We weren't attacked by any water types luckily, just a strange floor trap pokemon that Nessa said it's named Stunkfisk. It was really weird. But anyway, we did it to Motostone in in a few hours.

N- "Here we go, Motostoke city! Well it's pretty late now, you should go to the Budew Inn and get some rest"

"Ok what about you Nessa?"

N- "Oh don't worry for me, now the Wooloo problem should have been solved"

"Good then. But wait, what is a Wooloo? And a Corviknight too?"

N- "They are two of the most important pokemon in Galar. Wooloos are good for their wool and milk and Corviknights are used as an unpollutting way of trasport"

"Sounds cool! Polluting is quite of a problem in Kanto, since Weezings and Grimers are very common"

N- "We have Weezings here too! But they aren't as the Kanto ones, they inhale the polluting in the air as nutrition and then purify it. They live in the woods near Postwick, a small town in the south"

This region really had some good ways of using pokemons as a benefict. Kanto should learn from it!

"Thanks for the info and for having accompanied me here Nessa. Hope to see you soon!"

N- "You are welcome! We'll probably see each other again at the inauguration day of this year gym challenge with all the other gym leaders. It's the next week and it will take place here in Motostoke"

"What?!? Here? And I'll, I'll..."

N- "Yes. You will be there as the Motostoke gym leader. Kabu will probably see it from the stands for the first time in a lot of years. After Opal left the Ballonlea gym to a boy named Bede, Kabu was the oldest of the gym leaders"

"That sounds... nice i think"

N- "Don't worry, it'll be fine! And you'll know the other gym leaders and the champion Dandel"

"So you do have a champion?"

N- "Of course. And we have only one, once he's defeated, he's no longer the champion, unlike Kanto region. And even a gym leader can become the champion if he can defeat him!"

That made me asking to myself if my Kanto certificate was a bit useless. In Kanto, once a champion is more like a final exam, not really someone to surpass. Whatever.

"Interesting. Well, see you in a week then!"

N- "Of course, bye Y/N"

"Bye"

After byeing Nessa, i made my way to the Budew Inn. But first, i decided to go to the stadium and see how it was. The sky was quite dark now and the stadium lights were so cool to see. Kanto gyms were nothing looking at that enormous and very well illuminated building. Thinking of working in it made me feel a bit flustered. Anyway, i took a deep breath. "I CAN DO IT" i thought to myself. "I HAVE TO F*CKIN' GROW". 

I entered the Budew Inn and discovered that the gym staff had already prepared a room for me. "I have to thank them once i see and get known to them" i thought. I went into my room,  showered, changed my clothes with an comfortable t-shirt and a pair of pajama panths and went to sleep. I felt asleep in no time since i was tired af, hoping that the next day wouldn't be so tiring.
