Chapter 3: New Faces (Part 2/3)

The next day i woke up around 10 a.m. As soon as i stood up, i heard someone knocking the door.

"Be here in a minute" i said.

Ok so first thing, i had to change. But as i was getting my suitcase totake some clean clothes, the one who was knocking at the door opened it without esitation.

?- "Hello young man. Sorry if i slammed into your room so quick, but there is no time to wait, an aspiring gym leader has to do some training if he wants to be good at battles!"

WHAT THE ACTUAL FU- wait.

"Err, i suppose you are Kabu sir?"

K- "Uh? Oh right sorry i should have said who i am first. Yes I'm Kabu, and i've been the Motostoke gym leader for 40 years! And you young Y/N, will be trained by me until the inauguration day, you have to look presentable if you want to take my role here!"

Presentable? I aM pErFeCtLy PrEsEnTaBlE. Ok calm down Y/N, you have to be nice with the older people.

"Ok so what kind of training are you talking about sir?"

K- "Oh just call me Kabu, you are *you dad's name* son after all and i knew him since BLA bLa bla..."

Kill me ASAP please.

"Ok then Kabu, so what kind of training are we going to do?"

K- "Ehy don't interrupt people when they are talking young man! Yes you are exactly like your father when he was your age. Impertinent and impatient! But with a lot of potential for sure. You don't know it, but before going to work for the Kalos branch of the Silph spa, he was a talented trainer but he never wanted to begin a career with it! Well, everyone is free to make his choices i guess. Anyway, we are going to meet another gym leader in the Wild Areas. Do you have any pokemon with you already?"

"Dad? A trainer? That's something interesting. Why did he never speak of it to me?"

K- "Who knows? But it's notime for questions now, do you have any pokemon with you now?"

"Well yes, i have my Jolteon from Kanto"

K- "And that's all?"

"I knew from my researches that some pokemon can not stand Galar mutable weather, so i didn't want to take any other pokemons with me because i don't want them to get ill or hurt"

K- "So you did researches about the weather and didn't check if you had any pokemons that could stay here with no problem? Young man, we have Gyarados, Vileplumes, and Ninetales here too!"

"I know but i didn't want to take any risks... Honestly i'm not even sure if Jolteon will appreciate neither. I didnt' let him out of his pokeball since i still was in Kanto"

K- "Young man you are making yourself too much worries. For now, let's just use your Jolteon. After all, you will be capable to use only one type pokemons in the gym"

"I know, and about that, what type should i use? I'm good with the electric type but Jolteon is the only one electric type i ever had!"

K- "We'll decide it later. Now go change for the training!"

"Okey"

After changing with some training clothes, i picked my backpack and followed Kabu to the station. There, we took the train to the "Wild Areas". One name, one trick.

"So where do we have to meet this gym leader at?"

K- "Near a stone pillar named the Giant's Cap. Be careful out here, the Wild Areas are full of every kind of pokemon"
