Chapter 5: Inauguration day

It's been a while since me and Bea started training, and the inauguration day finally came.

"Man finally! I can meet the other gym leaders and show them the results of my training!"

I immediately went to the stadium and met up with Kabu.

K- "You are late young man! The others are getting ready right now! Hurry up!"

"Yeah i'll be as fast as light don't worry"

As i got to the locker rooms, i heard some people arguing. 

R- "Get ready Leon! This is the time i'll beat you and become the Galar champion!"

L- "Ah! I won't lose that easily Raihan! My Charizard will burn your team in no time!"

P- "Guys why do you have to be so loud every time goddamn it"

R- "Shut up Piers!"

"Uhhh hello?"

As i spoke, everyone in the room went silent.

L- "Oh hi! You must be Y/N, the new Motostoke gym leader! Kabu told me about you. I'm Leon, the Galar champion! Nice to meet you!"

R- "I'm Raihan, the Hammerlocke gym leader and future champion!"

P- "Keep dreaming Raihan. Name's Piers by the way"

Other two guys approached us, noticing me.

M- "What's happening guys? I heard some bickering"

G- "Yes it seemed like when mom argues with my sister"

P- "Nothing, Raihan's just crying because he can't defeat Leon. Oh and Kabu has been replaced by this kid" 

Piers said, pointing at me.

M- "Oh hi! I am Milo, and i am Turffield grass type gym leader!"

G- "And i'm Gordie. Nice to meet ya"

"I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you too i guess"

L- "So are we all here now?"

P- "Seems like it -SLAM"

Just after Piers said that, the door slammed and a weird boy wearing a purple jacket entered the room.

L- "Oh hi! Who are you?"

Bd- "I would normally ignore someone so ignorant to not know my name, but since it's the champion who asked me, I'll tell you. I'm Bede, the new Ballonlea gym leader, and i will show everyone the power of the fairy type!"

(ND: I will call Bede speech "Bd", and Bea speech "B", so we won't get confused about who is talking between the two)

P- "Good, Opal has been replaced by a crackhead"

Bd- "How dare you to call me crackhead! I will destroy your team!"

P- "Let me guess, you can count on one of those boring Gigamax pokemon don't you"

Bd- "Of course i can!"

P- "Pfft, you're just like the others here"

L- "Come on Piers, just because you don't like Dynamax or Gigamax doesn't mean it is boring! Speaking of it, what about you Y/N? Can you use dynamax already? I heard you aren't from Galar so i don't know if you..."

"Well i never tried it so i guess it's a no"

M- "Oh that's ok, you just need to get used to this region!"

"I guess so"

After we talked a bit more about dynamax and got changed into my gym leader uniform for the first time, me and the others went to the field, where Nessa and Bea were waiting.

(The uniform is the electric type one that you can buy in the game)

N- "Hey you all! What took so long?"

R- "Oh nothing! Leon was just too scared to show up because he knows iìm going to beat him this time"

M- "Raihan don't be so competitive already! It's just the inauguration day!"

"Sorry girls, me and this guy Bede over here were late and the others waited for us to get ready"

N- "Oh nevermind Y/N, it's not a problem. Last year Leon showed up in the middle of the show because he got lost"

L- "Snitches get stitches!"

N- "Try me fam"

Leon and Nessa started arguing a bit. I shook my head in disappointment. The Galar champion might have been the strongest, but he really was a kid.

B- "Hey Y/N"

"Oh hi Bea! Ready for today?"

During our training days, me and Bea got a bit closer to each other; i could say we became friends.

B- "Yes i am. We trained for this together don't you remember?" She giggled a bit.

Of course i remember, it's like the only thing i did since i'm here. Not that i didn't like her company tough. OH WTF AM I SAYING?

P- "Ok -people i unfortunately have to pass this day with-, i'm sorry to interrupt your playing time but we should get to the field. We are going to be late"

We all went to the field under the applauses of the public, i was used to numerous crowds from the Kanto league but it still was impressive.

A guy wearing a gray suit started speaking.

Rs "Ladies and gentlemen, i hope you're ready for the beginning of the Galar league! My name's Rose, and....."

(ND: Rs: Rose; R: Raihan)

I stopped listening to him after the first 5 seconds, as i noticed that Leon was missing. Where did he go?

Rs "And now, i'll introduce you our amazing gym leaders"

Oh well nevermind.

Rose spoke about every leader as they saluted the crowd. Milo, Gordie, Nessa, Bede... and the last one was me.

Rs "And last, the new Motostoke gym leader, Y/N!"

I simply waved making a polite smile.

Rs "And now, he will make the inauguration battle with the champion!"

"DE WHAT NOW?"

R "Wait that's unfair!"

L "Sorry Raihan, but i personally asked Rose to fight with Y/N. He is a Kanto league champion you know?"

R "Ugh whatever"

L "Sorry dude! Anyways Y/N, are you ready to challenge me? The rules are simple, 1 of your pokemon and one of mine, the winner gets... well it gets nothing but still!"

"You know what? Fuck yeah, let's battle"

SOOOOOOOOOOOO I know you were expecting something longer after 2 months of nothing but i have to think how to make the battle between Y/N and Leon EPIC. I'll write the next part ASAP i swear! But for now, SEE YA'!
