But I don't want to share
In your library, I am among the many twilight
Yes, I am mere
Dancing in the sunset light
In someone's arms you will be there
All your ears and eyes fixed on her sight
Attention unmoving without giving the world any care
Spotlight on her. Your eyes on her smile
Walking hand in hand with her, not realising a mile
All ears for her and her laughter like a song in them
I wish I was her but I don't deserve the spotlight
I will be there in the shadows
Behind your stage
Hiding in the meadows
Standing there as promised even if it feels like a cage
Letting loose of unshed tears
Seeing all my fears come true
Sending pain into my heart by your spears
Feeling like you can read me through
I am not in your spotlight, am I?
