One guy, is all it took.

Part 1: The Wedding

Author's note: I'm  redoing and revising the book so the chapters or parts are going to be different.

Part 1 : The wedding

The dreaded day has finally arrived. Outside these doors lies a new beginning and I thank the lord that I have my Best Friend Tyler by my side.

“Thanks a lot for coming with me" I smile at Tyler as he holds my hand swinging our intertwined fingers.

"No problem Jess, I'm here for you” he smiles warmly at me as we make our way to the church, “and by the way you look beautiful”

"Thank you Tyler" I reply smiling at him, taking a deep breath, I bracing myself as we walk into the beautiful decorated church.

(Tyler is my best friend, I've known him since like 2nd grade and we hit it off right away. I love him to bits.)

The music begins As Tyler and I make our ways over to our spots before my mom. When we come to a stop, I turn and smile as I see my beautiful mother walking towards us (Josh and I). A radiating smile bestowed upon her face. She looks amazing in her dress, simply yet stunning. I can’t help but let a giggle escape my lips as I watch how excited my mother is. I chance it and sneak a glance at Josh, who looks mouth-watering in his tux. He has a big smile on his face as watches my mother. I feel a bit of content in me as I see that he cares about her. I guess I must have been stuck watching him because he looks over at me and winks, before returning his attention to my mom. I blush a little and focus on the ceremony.

-The Reception

Thankfully the church went by quickly. As we lead our way to the reception, the music begins and people are mingling, and every so often someone walks over to my mother telling her congratulations and how beautiful she looks. The night kicks off when the little things are done. The bouquet tossing, throwing the garter, cutting the cake and the first dance.

I have to admit it was funny when they cut the cake and smashed it in each other's faces. Soon after enough people start walking to the dance floor.

"Come on Jess" Tyler urges me.

"I'm kinda tired Tyler" I laugh, shaking my head. I did a lot of walking and I don't know if I can dance.

"Please Jessica you need to have some fun, you haven't really even danced all night and the party is almost over." he whines, tugging on hand.

"Fine" I say in defeat with a smile.

"Yes I win" he jokes and wraps an arm around my waist, leading us to the dance floor.

As I get more into it, I enjoy it more. Right when were about to take a brake I hear my mom.

"Come on sweetie dance with me," she smiles at Tyler.

He sneaks a glance at me and I nod.  “Okay" he smiles at my mom, taking off deeper into the dance floor.

I start to make my way over to the table when I hear someone call my name, " Jessica” I turn and see Josh, “would you like to dance?" I hear his deep sexy voice ask and look up at my new step dad.

“I’m pretty tired and you don't have too" I smile at him: starting to walk away.

He catches my arm and spins around to face him" but I'd like too, and I am your new dad" he jokes” come on let's dance “he smiles.

At that I can’t help but crack a smile, "Okay" and soon enough we are swaying to the music and he just looks into my eyes the whole time.

I start to blush and he chuckles as he brushes my stray hair out of my face, “you look beautiful tonight Jessica” he says I his husky voice or maybe it’s just me wanting it to sound that way.

“Thanks” I smile and look anywhere but him and he just laughs.

***Few Hours later***

When the wedding finishes my mom is off on her three week honeymoon with Josh, I have to admit I'm kinda jealous that she married such a hot guy and now he's going to be my step dad. Wow I need a boyfriend, I laugh to myself. Exhausted from the day’s events I just slump and lean against Tyler. I guess I’m stuck with Tyler yet again, I laugh to myself, just as always.

What's so funny?" he asks as the limo drifts farther away.

"Nothing, just tired" I smile up at him.

"Let’s get you home then" he smiles, easily sweeping me off my feet.

"Yeah" I mumble and cuddling more into him, wrapping my arms around my neck.

"I love you Jessica" I hear him mumble softly.

"Love you too Buddy" I yawn and he just shakes his head as I close my eyes.
