Part 20:

Part 20: The Morning After

Waking up next to Conner is something I wish I could do every day. I think I really am falling hard for him. It’s one thing to say I Love You and another to mean it. And I mean it. This whole ordeal with Josh was a mistake but it was a good mistake, because it lead me to Conner. I shift slightly so, I'm facing a sleeping Conner. A smiling forming on my lips as I take in his peaceful features. God this boy can really be the one. I lightly trace the contour of his face with my fingertips. He grumbles a little and wipes his face, I giggle a little before leaning closer and pecking him softly on his lips.

His eyes open in surprise, a huge grin plastered on his face. “hey Beautiful" he say in a husky voice

“hey yourself" I giggle and look at him, staring at me.

“Your eyes shine brighter than the stars in the sky" he recites smoothly, his hand caressing the side of my face.

“That’s sweet" I giggle

“What’? He asks, propping up on his elbow.

“Nothing" I smile and peck his cheek

He smile broadens “in my eyes you are the envy of every woman" he whispers against my skin.

Trailing light kisses on my bare shoulder.

“I better be" I joke

"Don’t worry, you are" he smirks and kisses me quickly.

I smile warmly at him “thanks honey, but I think you should get me home" I say glancing over at the clock.

“can’t we stay in bed, just a little longer" he whines, wrapping his arms around my waist.

“as much as I would love too, I really have to go" I kiss his check and he pulls away, flashing me a smile.

“Okay" he says, getting up and walking towards his closet.

Well his rummages in his closet, I quickly pull on my clothes and walk over to his dresser and fix my hair, trying to do the same with my makeup. Suddenly he appears behind me, wrapping his arms around me. Looking straight into the mirror to me.

"Your beautiful, Jessica"

"Thanks" I rub his arms with my hand, straight at us in the mirror. We look as if were glowing. The life, light, and happiness radiating through me as I take in our appearances.

"We should get going" he whispers into my ear.

"We should" I mummer, turning in his arms to face him, enlacing my arms around his neck. His hold tightens around my waist pulling me closer.

"Oh Jessica, I don't think I can let you go" he laughs

"Oh shut up" I laugh and kiss him quickly

"I will if you give me one more kiss" he says teasingly

"Conner" I laugh and trying and pull away from him but he doesn't allow me to move.

'Just one"

"I just gave you one" I laugh

"Cute" he smiles “come on, just one"

"Fine" I smile and bringing his head down to my level, kissing him passionately. “there" I laugh and pull away from him.

He groans “you can’t do that Jessica"

“But I can”, I laugh, “and I will, now hurry up" I say walking out the door.

-Home

Conner pulls up to my drive way and I notice that the house looks empty. I open the car door and walk to the door; Conner right behind me.

"I don't think anybody is home" I smile

"I wouldn't count on it" Conner chuckles, peeking through the window.

"Aw that sucks “I joke “well I'll see you later "

"Okay" he smiles, slinking his arms back around me, kissing me softly. “Love you"

"Love you" I smile and peck him once more before turning away. He waves, walking to his car.

I take a deep breath and open the door slowly. Quietly I close the door and creep upstairs.

"Where do you think you’re going?" I hear my mother ask

I stop mid-step and turn around slowly with a smile “my room?" I say sweetly

"No you’re not, get your butt down here" she says sternly.

My father then walks into the room, with a look of disapproval. “Your still here?" I ask surprised

"Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?"

"Because by now you’re usually gone" I say quietly, I see him frown

"Not anymore"

"What do you mean?" I ask

"I'm staying" he smiles. I ran to him, hugging him tightly peeking at my mom smiling.

"That’s great'

"Yeah, I realized Josh and I were a mistake, and having your father back helped" she smiles at him.

"That’s great"

"Yeah, but that's not what I'm worried about now. Where were you?"

“um... a friend's?"

"Tyler is your only friend and I know as sure as hell you weren't with him"

"Mom"

“Where were you?"

‘I’m back that all that matters"

“Why didn't you call?"

“I lost my phone?" I say quickly.

“Well you’re not getting a new one"

“It’s okay, can I go now?"

“Fine" she huffs

“Thanks, bye" I run up to my room and collapse onto my bed.

I lay in silent for a good 30 minutes before getting up and showering. After all is done, I write on my board, outside my door "sleeping' and lock my door. Sighing I make my ways to my bed and feel my phone vibrate.

New Text Message

*hey babe, mind if I come over

*I'm in bed already lol'

*perfect;)

* I guess, you here

*right behind you ;)

I quickly turn around and come face to face with Conner.

“what the-"

“I came through the window, when you were showering" he whispers.

I smile and pull him into the bed with me.

"Just couldn't say away" I joke

"You bet"
