part 5 : What just Happened?

Part 5

It’s been a three months since me and Tyler got together. Everybody at school was like yeah we expected it and we would just laugh. Tyler is a great guy and a wonderful Boyfriend. My mother was happy for us when I told her the news, Josh didn't seem to thrilled about it. Lately he's been distant. I kinda miss him. We became close and it hurts that it isn’t like that anymore. He gave me the cold shoulder, but Tyler would never let me be unhappy about it.

Today he left on a family trip; he's going to be gone for two month. Since we have a break at school, my mom wouldn't let me go with them, since we’re a couple now. I feel so lonely without him, but he promised to call every day. I love him so much but I don't think I'm in love with him. But love does take time doesn't it. It s a Saturday night and I have nothing to do. Ugh. I walk down stairs and flop on the couch.

"Hey honey, not going out tonight" mom asks putting her shoes on.

"No, Tyler's gone and I don't feel up to hanging out tonight." I frown at her

"I'm sorry sweetie but I couldn't let you go off with your boyfriend” she smiles.

"Mom, his parents were going too"

"I know, but still"

"It never was a problem before"

"that was before you became a couple, Tyler's a good guy but now that your together I can’t let you go off with him" I frown and she ruffles my hair.

"Sorry sweetie, I have to work the night shift but I’ll see you first time tomorrow morning"

"Okay"

'Have fun”, she smiles, walking out.

Josh walks in with a bowl of popcorn and flops down on the couch next to me.

"So lover boy's gone" he asks with a smirk

"Yeah for two months" I frown

"Too bad" but he says it as though it’s not.

"Nice pjs," he smiles.

"Thanks" I laugh and shift a little.

"So what's the plan for tonight?" he asks

"Watching TV" I say flipping through channels.

-1 Hour later

Josh and I are watching this romance movie that I finally decided to watch. It was so sad that I actually cried. Josh put his arm around me and rubbed me shoulder the whole time.

"It’s just a movie" he says and I smile.

"Yeah, but still" I say and look up at him, to find him so close staring at me intently. I shift a little and he smiles.

"So Josh, how old are you anyways?" I ask and move away a little, I see him frown some.

"I'm 23"

"Wow you’re so young compared to my mom" I say shocked

"Yeah, I guess she's rocking the cradle” he says and I laugh. He smiles at me.

He moves closer blocking out space between us. I stop laughing at look at him. He brings his hand up and brushes my cheek. I freeze from shock as of what to do. Then he lips press down on mine soft and gentle. I feel a burst of happiness over fill me and I kiss him back. He wraps his arms around me and I pull him closer wrapping mine around his neck. He deepens the kiss, and pulls back breathless with a smile.

"Omg, Josh" I say out of breathe and he just smiles. "I can’t do this I have a boyfriend and you’re married to my mom!" I say and get up. He frowns and stand ups.

"Jessica, I love you" he breathes

I look back at him in shock "what?"

"I’ve loved you since the first day I met you" he smiles coming closer to me. I take a step back; we keep at it till my back hit the wall.

"You can’t" I finally say "you’re with my mom" and he frowns.

"I only married her to be with you" he says sincerely

"That’s not right" I stutter.

"I did it to be closer to you" his minty breathe hovers over my lips and I want nothing more than nothing to pull him to me and kiss him.

"Josh" I let out a breath but am silenced as his lips touch mine and I feel my knees weaken and he holds me. This isn't right, no Jessica stop. Think about Tyler and your mom. I push him back.

"No Josh, I can’t your with my mom" I say through tears and he looks so sad. I turn and run up the stairs. I slam my door and lay flat on my bed.

Jessica what did you just do? Think about how Tyler would feel. Think about your mom that loves you.

I lay still until I hear my door open "get out please"

"Jessica come on"

"Josh"

He comes and lies on my bed.

"Jessica I'm so sorry" he breathes," and I know I came at it wrong. But I didn't know what else to do at the time."

"Josh, what about my mom" I finally look at him.

"I care about your mom, but I love YOU Jessica, I'm sorry I can’t help it. When I met you that day I couldn’t get you out my mind. I tried to forget you, but your mom isn't you" he says holding my hand.

I look up at him" I don't think I could hurt them”.

"How do you feel about me?" he says sadly.

"I don't know" I say suddenly confused.

Out of nowhere he pulls me to him and kisses me.

"Now" he mutters.

"Josh, you make me feel like Tyler doesn't but this isn't right"

"Then don't think if it’s right or wrong. Think about us" he says and kisses me lightly.

"I can’t be with you," I say.

"Why?"

"You know why" I say.

He just holds me and we fall asleep in each other's arms.
