Part 9

　

After a good while I pull away breathless and look at him.

"Jessica I'm so-" I stop him by pressing my lips back to his and pull away as I feel him smile.

"it’s okay, I wanted  to kiss you the day I met you, but I have a boyfriend and I know it’s wrong of me to kiss you" I feel like such a slut lately. I'm with Tyler and cheating on him with Josh MY FREAKIN STEP DAD ! And now Conner.

"Jessica, it was my fault I shouldn't have kissed you, I know you have a boyfriend. But you looked so hurt and with beautiful blue eyes glistening with tears making your eyes shine. I just couldn't." he says flustered.

"Don’t put all the blame on you, I mean I kissed you back then kissed you again” I say now blushing. He smiles at me and gives a little laughs scooting closer to me.

"You know Jessica; you’re different than most girls"

'Well duh, no one's the same "I laugh and he laughs too.

"Pizza’s here" I hear Josh call.

"Well lets' go down”

"Alright' he smiles.

"oh, and don't tell Josh anything" I say in all seriousness.

"I wouldn't dare, he'd kill me for kissing his step- daughter"

"You wouldn't even know' I say and we walk into the kitchen laughing.

"What’s so funny?" Josh asks pulling out a bottle of soda.

"Nothing worth repeating" Conner says grabbing a slice of pizza.

We all sit around the table and eat, “So Conner do you play any sports?"

“Yeah, your "Step" dad here and I  used to play base ball."

"Oh, that's cool, I didn't know you could play" I say turning to look at Josh who just smiles.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me" he smirks and take a bit from his pizza.

"Okay" I smile at him and turn back to Conner.

 “So why did you really come back?"

"Yeah, I would want to know too" Josh says.

"I just missed it here" he said truthfully.

"So you lived here, before. How come I never noticed you?" I ask.

And he sends me a secretive smile and I blush and look away and catch Josh looking at us suspiciously "probably because I didn't go to school here and I was hardly ever home"

"Oh' I say and my phone starts to vibrate. It’s Tyler. I smile and answer.

"Hey babe"

"Hey Tyler' I smile and start to walk off.

"What’s up?"

"Tyler we need to talk, when are you coming back?" I ask nervously.

“I’ll be back tomorrow, were cutting the trip early. What's wrong?

"Nothing, I just need to tell you something, so why are you cutting the trip short?" I quickly change the subject.

　

　

Josh's P.O.V

　

Something is going on between Conner and Jessica. I don't know what but I'm getting this vibe from them. Jessica leaves talking on the phone to Tyler.

"So Tyler's her boyfriend?" he asks.

"Yeah"

“So man, how is it?" he smiles.

"How is what?" I smile forgetting about Jessica and just thinking of the good old times with Conner.

"Being married to Jessica's mom" he smiles “I didn't know you liked older women" he smiles wide and I laugh lightly.

"Shut up dude, she's a nice girl, you know blah blah blah" I laugh.

"Yeah sure" he laughs.

"I never thought you would be a dad so young" he jokes.

"Whatever, she's not even my kid, I am not even that old. If I wanted I could be with Jessica "I smile.

"Yeah sure." he laughs, thinking as if I'm joking.

"So do you like Jessica?" I ask tensing slightly.

"She’s a cool girl and she's beautiful but she has a boyfriend and I can respect that" he says smiling at me with a knowing look.

"What is it? What happened?" I ask trying to mess with him but anger is building.

"Nothing happened dude"

"I know you Conner, your one of the biggest players I know." I shake my head.

"That’s the old me and I wouldn't talk" he laughs.

"Whatever man"

"We should go out some time and catch up"

"Yeah for sure" I say and Jessica walks back into the room. She seems a little weird.

"Are you alright?" I ask standing up and walking to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. " she says shaking her head and sitting down.

"So how's Tyler?"

"He would be better if he hadn't gone and broke his leg. He said he'll be back tomorrow"

"Is he okay?"

"He says so" she smiles only the tiniest bit.

"Okay"

"This was fun , but I have to get going. I promised my dad we would hang out"

"Alright man , bye"

"Bye"

"Want me to walk you to the door?" she asks

"Sure" and they leave the room. I wonder what's up with Jessica.

　

　

Jessica's P.O.V

　

　

"So what wrong?" Conner asks as we reach the door.

"Nothing, I'm just worried about Tyler. I can’t stand the thought of hurting him"

"You will only be hurting him, if you stay with him knowing you don't love him"

"Your right, thanks"

"No problem, so I'll see you around"

"Yeah" I smile and give him a hug, he faintly kisses my cheek.

"I'm here, if anything" he whispers in my ear.

I just smile at him and close the door, turning around to face Josh.
