Book 3. Clary Fairchild Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

1. Going back to London

Two weeks before I would go back to Hogwarts my mom told me that I would leave earlier.

She said that she needed to do some things around the time I normally would leave to Hogwarts. She didn't explain it to me further, but she told me that it would be alright.

The plan she told me was that I would go to a place where I could stay for a week before I would go back to Hogwarts. First we would get all my new supplies for next year and then I was going to stay at the Leaky Cauldron while my mom would go back home. When it was time for me to go to Hogwarts I would leave from there.

When I told Simon I had to leave earlier, at first he didn't like it. Our time together would be much shorter. But now he tried to make the best of it. He helped me where he could and we were almost everyday together to spend as much time as we had together.

I knew he would have to miss me again for a long time. I would miss him too, he is still my bestfriend.

~ Time skip ~

Today is the day I go back to London. I am excited en sad at the same time. I am excited because I can go back to the beautiful wizarding world and sad because I have to face my problems again. I have to make it up with Harry, Hermione and Ron, especially Harry.

"Clary! Are you ready?" My mom called me. "Yeah! I am coming. I am almost done!" With that I closed my suitcase and grabbed all my stuff. I had to pack so much for school this year. Luckily Simon offered to help me. He was willing to help me. It was much faster packing with him helping me.

Simon and I walked down the stairs to the living room. He looked at me with a sad face and said "I am going to have miss you again." I walked to him and said "I will miss you too, Simon." I wrapped my arms around his waist and I gave him a tight hug. Simon responded with hugging me back. I said "Just think about the fact that I will write to you and you will see me again at the end of the schoolyear."

While Simon and I were hugging I heard someone say "Hey kiddo." I slowly ended the hug with Simon and then I turned around.

It was Luke. I said "Hey Luke. Are you here to wave me goodbye?" "Yes, I am. I wanted to see you one last time before you leave to London again."

I made my way towards Luke and when I was a step away from him I said "I think you also need a hug. You look a little bit sad. I am going to leave to school just like the other 2 years. Only this year I am going to leave 1 week earlier." The last 2 sentences I gave him a small laugh.

I took the last step and I gave Luke a hug. Not as tight as Simon and I had, but it was close to it. Luke said while hugging "I know, but still. It's not like your're close to one of us while your're there. What if anything happens?" I reasured him "Everything is going to be alright, Luke. I am gonna be fine. Just like the first 2 years." He seemed to be a little less sad after what I said.

A few moments later my mom called that she was ready to leave now. I gave a last hug to both Simon and Luke and said again that I was going to miss them.

After the hugs, I went outside with my stuff and walked to my mom. I stepped in the car at the passengers seat, after I put my stuff in the car.

My mom drove away while I was waving goodbye to Simon and Luke. They were both standing in the entrance of our home. When they were out of sight, I stopped waving goodbye and turned my head to look at where we were going. We were going to the airport.

After a long time, we were finally on our way to London in the airplane.

When we arrived in London, we made our way to Diagon Alley. We first went to buy my books for this year, before we would go to the Leaky Cauldron where I was going to stay for a week.
