An hour later, he was out of his bright red jumpsuit. He now wore a black leather coat that he kept unzipped. Under he wore a black t-shirt, a pair of navy blue jeans, and some combat boots, His gun was in its holster to his right hip and the clips of 16 bullets each were in his back pocket. He had a pair of normal looking glasses on. They were thick rimmed and black. He tapped the side of them and a blue hop up display came into his view, checking his vitals and how much ammunition he had.
He smirked as he walked towards his ship. "This should be a breeze." he stated as he walked on board. A soft female could be heard over the speakers.
"Welcome back, Jackson." She said, her voice silky smooth.
Jackson chuckled as he sat down in the drivers chair. "Thank you Sarah. All systems go?" He questioned, flipping a few switches above his head.
"Yes Jackson. All systems are functional and ready to go. What's the destination?" The AI asked.
"I need you to trace a signal. A distress call was sent a few thousand light years from here. Think you can do it?" He asked, popping in what seemed to be a hard drive into the console of the ship.
A few minutes later, her voice spoke yet again. "I have it. I programmed the coordinates into your NAV Computer."
"Excellent job!" He praised. He moved a lever slowly forward as the engines roared to life. The ship started to rise as leave the prison world of the MilkyWay.
Jackson frowned as he listened to the distress call once more. Something was off about this whole thing. He shook his head. He shouldn't think too much into it.
"Jackson, we're coming up on where the signal was last sent." Sarah alerted him.
Jackson was pulled out of his thoughts by this. He turned himself back out towards the window, gazing upon the floating ship. He grabbed hold of the controls and made his way towards the docking bay of the ship. Everything seemed on about this. Flickering lights presented themselves. It was as if this ship was taken over. Raided even. Nearly all the power was turned off.
He landed. He cut the engines and grabbed a small flash drive that popped out of the console. He hooked it up to his glasses, transfering whatever was on there to them. He put his glasses on.
