Although the fear of death ran rampant through our heros' mind, he knew what he had to do to survive. He shot the Zed in the head and pushed it off his body. He dove into the room and slammed the door shut.

Darkness. He couldn't see anything. He grabbed his flashlight from his pocket and turned it on. In Front of him stood something absolutely disturbing. He nearly threw up at the sight. It was a Zed... but it wasn't like any of the others, It seemed to have nearly have its skin torn off. Only muscles shown. It seemed to be blind, no eyes. Its teeth were razor sharp, almost like a sharks.

Jackson gripped his gun. He slowly made his way around the hideous abomination, trying his hardest not to make a sound. He moved through another door that was on the far hand side. When he walked in, he was tackled to the ground, his gun sliding away from him. He was about to throw a punch when he saw who it was. Alex, her eyes dripping with tears. Jackson let out a sad smile and patted her head.

"I take it you missed me?" He questioned in a jokey manor.

Alex punched him in the chest, "You idiot. You're the only other one alive and you could've died! What the fuck were you thinking?!" She exclaimed.

Jackson moved his hand to cover her lips. "Shh. Now's not the time to be yelling at me. There is one of those Zeds in the next room. He isn't like the others. We need to finish this antivirus before it's too late."Alex nodded slowly. She understood.

Jackson smiled. He slowly moved his hand away from her mouth.

Alex helped him up and walked towards the Lab equipment.

Jackson frowned. "This isn't going to work." He murmured. All of the supplies was damaged beyond repair. He let out a frustrated growl. Is there any other sort of Lab, anywhere?" He asked desperately.

Alex shook her head. "No... there isn't."

He punched the workbench in anger. "GOD DAMNIT!" he exclaimed, going against his own advice. He can't save them. He was beyond pissed. He couldn't... He turned to Alex. She looked at the door, scared. Maybe... he can save someone. He picked up his gun and cocked the empty shell out of it. 11 shots remained.

"Sarah, show me the schematics of the ship." Jackson demanded.

A 3-D hologram of the ship came out of his glasses and between the two survivors.

"I need to find the engine room in order to overload the plasma fusion reactors. When i do that, we will only have about 15 minutes to get off this thing before it blows. My ship is docked Here, in Docking Bay 34. If we cut through the Bridge and take a left at the Medical wing, we should be able to make it to my ship in time." Jackson told her. Sarah made red dots appear, showing where the infected are. Most of them were crowded in the hallway in front of the Lab. A few stragglers were down near the Bridge and the Medical wing. He put a hand on his chin.

Alex noticed an opening to the right of them. "Here. This leads to the Plant Room, which seems to be void of any infected. If we cut through here, right below it are the reactors. We can just take that express elevator if we can get the power back on." She offered, wiping away the dried tears she had.

Jackson nodded. "That could work. We just need to find the power generator." He looked through the Map. He couldn't seem to find it. "Strange... It's as if there is no generator... Then what was powering the ship?"

Alex spoke up. "There is one. It's right next to the Plant Room. It's a very small room. Right here." She pointed to an outline of the small room.

Jackson nodded and tapped his glasses, closing out of the Hologram."Right. Check your ammo. We leave in 5." He told her. He began to look around for anything he can salvage. He looked into the cupboards and found a couple shotgun shells. He shrugged, not really questioning it and grabbed them.
