Alex, meanwhile, was checking her clip. 7 shots remained for her plus the 20 shot clip she carried in her pocket makes a total of 27. She nodded. Hopefully, this will last the trip there and back to Jacksons ship.

About five minutes later, they were ready. They moved towards the doorway to the Plant Room and entered it. It was what you expected it to be on an infected ship. Overgrown plants everywhere. A few dead bodies.

Jackson clenched his gun tightly. He had a very bad feeling about this. He kept himself behind Alex, watching her back in case something comes up behind them.

Alex finally spoke up. "We're here."

Jackson looked at the door. He nodded. "Lets go."

She opened the door slowly, a low creek erupting from the hinges. SHe turned on her flashlight, illuminating the dark abyss once known as a room. Straight ahead was a control panel.

Jackson went in first, his own flashlight turning on. He cautiously walked towards the control panel with Alex watching his back. He opened it up and flicked all of the switches on.

The entire ship bursted to life. Lights were now on in nearly every part. He walked out and shut the door.

"Let's blow this puppy and geth the hell out of here." Jackson smirked.

Alex agreed. They were in the endgame now. They made their way to the express elevator.

Jackson got in, Alex behind him, and hit the down button. A few minutes pass and they were right near the fusion reactor. Jackson got out and jogged towards the control panel and began typing on the keyboard.

"Come on... work with me here.." He murmured.

"Implosion in T minus 15 minutes." A female computerized voice rang out.

Jackson grinned. "Finally!" He grabbed Alex's hand and ran to the elevator and went up.

"Jackson we got company"

Jackson smirked. He noticed a crap load of Zeds waiting for them in the Plant Room. He quickly checked the hologram. The Bridge was through a door to their left.

"We can make a run for it. Its only 2 meters away. " He stated and kept holding her hand.

She nodded. "3. 2. 1. Let go!"

Jackson bolted, Alex catching up quick with the Zeds trailing behind them. He looked back and fired a few shots, killing a few of them to try and slow down the horde. They burst through the door and crossed diagonal from the Bridge and through a door. They took the left at the medical wing, where more Zeds come out and continued to chase their prey.

"T minus 5 minutes until implosion."

They took a right and entered the Docking Bay. Jackson's ship was right there, right where he left it.

"Sarah open the doors and start the engines! Quick!" He exclaimed

"T minus 2 minutes till implosion."

The door to his ship opened. He shoved Alex inside and aimed his gun at the Zeds. He began to open fire. He pulled some fancy moves, moving back and blocking their smiles to his face. The engines roared to life.

"T minus 30 seconds until implosion."

Jackson started to back up as his ship started to take lift. He jumped up and grabbed hold of a ladder that Alex was giving him to hold on. Jackson climbed it.

Once he was in, the doors closed and the ship blasted off into space, right as the Infected Ship exploded in a bright blue and purple flame that quickly diminished.

They painted. It was over, finally. The nightmare was finished.

Alex looked out into the starry void known as space. She shook her head, still not fully comprehending what was to happen now.

Jackson spoke. "Hey.. Let's head to my favourite bar. They got some great burgers." Jackson offered.

Alex nodded slowly with a soft smile. "Y-yeah. I'd like that."

Jackson smiled softly and put the ship into hyper-drive. Something still lurked in the back of mind. How did this start? What was the cause of this infection? He still didn't know but he had a feeling the Warden had something to do with this.

Alex looked at Jackson. She could tell something was on his mind. "Whats the matter, Rose?" She asked softly, calling him by his last name.

Jackson smiled and shook his head. "Nothing love." The British inmate replied. He slowed the ship down as they got to the bar floating on an asteroid. He landed next to a ship that was similar to his, but it seemed to be on fire. He frowned. Something didn't feel right.

Alex blushed softly at his words. She turned away, trying to make sure he didn't notice.

He got up. "Stay here... I'm going to go check on something. Sarah, activate protocol C-5612." He stated as he left the ship, his shotgun in hand.

"Activating Protocol." Sarah stated and the ship raised its blast shields.

Jackson slowly walked towards the bars entrance, being extremely cautious. He walked in. The lights were flickering, as if it hasn't been active in years. He noticed bodies on the floor and blood coating the walls. His eyes widened.

"Oh. Shit."
