Okay this story. This story. I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll give you three quick reasons on WHY you should read it before I go into more detailed fangirling.

1.    It is so unique. Throw away what you think all werewolf stories are about because June, lovely June, writes hers so originally and amazingly.

2.    IT IS ENTERED INTO WATTYS 2014 (Vote for it!) so you know it is ending soon so you won’t have to torture yourself waiting like I did, even though she has a great updating schedule. She spoils us with her frequent updates.

3.    JuneValentine. This author is a reason all her own. She is so incredible. Her ideas are all unique, her casting is on point. Maybe a grammar mistake here or there when she rushes to get us an update but honestly. Nothing where you can’t understand what she is trying to say. She became someone in my top 3 favorite authors on Wattpad. That list is very Elite and I am incredibly picky because once I think someone has a story that I love unconditionally, they stop updating for 7 years and when they do update I forget where the story left off. But not June!

4.    Oh and here is another reason; if you love Supernatural then there you go. “Skin” lead male is cast as Jensen Ackles, and he often references Supernatural as it is his favorite show. I don’t watch it (I am a scaredy cat) but I know enough as part of the SuperWhoLock fandom on Tumblr to appreciate it.

Okay enough of that. This story and its amazing plot. It doesn’t give you some rich, know it all, lives-to-smirk Alpha who can’t keep it in his pants. No. It gives you a man, who isn’t use to being human, he wasn’t properly educated and has a heart big enough to fit the inside of a Tardis. Lennox is a sweetheart who appreciates the advice and help of his pack mates and his friends. He is strong and reminds me of Lenny from “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck. In the sense that he is rough and innocent and isn’t really aware of certain things. Now on to Schuyler and her unique name. It is really just Skylar spelled all fancy, I bet it’s French. She is a gem. Her fathers raised her well and go figure the one thing she obsesses with is wolves! I mean, you love wolves and end up as the mate of a werewolf. Talk about luck, right? They don’t jump into a relationship right away like other stories, where the female protagonist meets the male protagonist and after 3 hours he is already punched three random guys for kissing him mate, and they all three just randomly decided to declare their love for her at that moment. No. They are awkward and they mess up a lot, like Schuyler ordering Lennox coffee for the first time. He is a sweetheart who would do anything for her just to spend time with her, even if it means driving all the way to another town to take her to her father’s birthday. That is another thing. She doesn’t expect things from him. She is realistic. She asks him to take her and offers to pay gas money. She works at Starbucks so decides to get him and her both coffee after her shift so that is one less thing for him to spend money on for their date. Speaking of money, he is not rich. They don’t have this unrealistic gorgeous mansion to live in, they get by on what they have. Which is given to them by the government to hide their existence. Always the government. (I bet area 51 is full of werewolves) Anyhow, it’s practical. Not a rich Alpha, who is always in his lavish office doing paperwork for who knows what job before he gets on a plane to go on vacation with his mate. Yea no. Not realistic. Oh and you know what else I love about this story? The fact she doesn’t involve some trashy waitress or some no strings attached bimbo who is out to get revenge. Lennox ain’t about that life. Now I can go on and on about how much I love this story, but I will end on this;

 I was caught up on all, I don’t know, 5 chapters within an hour and felt so upset to see there wasn’t more. I get excited whenever I see an update, I literally stopped studying and voluntarily woke up an hour early the next morning to do the work just so I could read the newest chapter. All of her stories are great (Beast of America whoot whoot) and she engages with readers and comments back as much as she can. It is fairly clean if you don’t mind some swearing here and there. It is unique, original, well written, and I give it 10/10, 5 gold stars, a platinum record, whatever award I can give it, I would give it. Its plot builds up and doesn’t spend hours on hours only focusing on their relationship. It introduces you to strong female characters and builds up a quick (not long and confusing) background for any supporting character that influences the main characters decision. If I had to say one thing about this that is my favorite, it would be that for more than half of it, it is in Lennox’s perspective I guess you could say. To me, some of the best books are written by female authors from a male perspective (Harry Potter, The Outsiders, and so on…) and I think she could be one of the best authors of our generation. Honestly.

P.S. JuneValentine, I may not watch Spn but I know enough to say, you as a person and how you treat your fans, are like Castiel because you are an angel.

Okay, yea. I know it’s been awhile but my first semester is ending soon and that means a lot of assignments that require my attention and Netflix also demanding my attention but I promise more for this and the rulebook more frequently. Also, really annoyed. My last 7+ tweets were all to Netflix asking WHY THE HECK SEASON 5 OF WHITE COLLAR ISN’T UP WHEN SEASON 6 IS AIRING RIGHT NOW!! Anyhow, enjoy the review, give the story a try, and stay awesome.
