Five and the reader are over 18 in this.

You sat on the bed, rocking yourself back and forth. A test sat beside you. A positive test. What was Five going to say?
You had been with Five since the apocalypse began. You survived long enough to find him and you both traveled together, eventually falling in love and "marrying". You had traveled with your close friend, Dolores, and even a precious little puppy named Mister Pennycrumbs whom you and Five treated like a son at times. But having an actual child was a whole new frontier. You decided against children in the apocalypse as it would be too much to eventually leave them alone with no one else in earth to comfort them. Plus, you barely had enough resources to nurture the both of you alone.
Now, you weren't in the apocalypse anymore. You were back in 2019 with a semi-normal life back at his childhood home, stuck in an 18 year old body, with plenty of resources in your hands. However, after all the trouble with the Commission, now it would be even more risky to try to have a child.
But you really wanted one.
You loved kids and had dreamed of being a mother when you were younger. And even though you knew you couldn't have any in the apocalypse, you still were thoroughly disappointed about it and constantly thought about it. Five, however, you were unsure. He didn't talk to a lot of kids when he was a child himself, and seemed very irritable when it came to things less intelligent than him. Maybe he wasn't really like that though?
Either way, you were conflicted. You could tell him. Or maybe you could just keep quiet until the time came. Maybe that would be better. It certainly made you feel less concerned about breaking the news to him. And maybe by then you'd know what to say. Yeah! You'll just keep quiet until you have to come clean, and by then you'll have a proper explanation for him.

You were only a week in, and this was already hard for you. You had kept getting sick in the morning, so much so that Five wouldn't stop pestering you about going to a doctor about it. You kept insisting you were fine, but you knew that wouldn't cut it. You were also extremely exhausted, so much so that Five would make sure you went to bed earlier and slept a little later. He also doubled up on coffee.
Today hadn't been so bad, and you assumed that Five thought you must've overcome this illness you had, so he had surprised you by coming home with a giant bottle of wine and some chocolates.
You were in bed, reading a book before he opened the bedroom door, showing off the bottle and box of sweets. You smiled up at him, putting down the book. He handed you the box. You gratefully took the box, opening it and popping one into your mouth. Five climbed on the bed, chuckling slightly as he sat beside you.
He popped the cork off with his teeth, spitting it out to the side of the bed. He offered you the bottle but you shook your head, mind immediately going to your baby.
"Not tonight, baby." You said, calmly. He began kissing your face and went down to your neck.
"You sure? You've had such a loooong week! And when's the last time we've been able to get nice and comfortable with each other anyway~"
"I'm sure. I can't do anything like that tonight, either."
He pulled away, disappointed.
"Why not?"
You're face flushed. What were you going to say?
"I-i... Don't feel well."
Five sighed, getting up.
"We've got to a doctor, (Y/N)."
" for the last time, we do not! "
"Well, you keep getting sick! And you aren't getting much better anyway! It could be something bad."
" It isn't, Five-"
"Well, then what is it!?"
You sigh, giving up entirely.
"I'm pregnant, Five."
He froze, staring at you as if time had stopped. His eyes slowly widened, and his jaw dropped. Your eyes began to burn with tears threatening to pour. Your lip quivered, and you couldn't bring yourself to look up at him.
"Um... well. That's... something." He finally said, voice breaking.
You inhaled shakily.
"Not a bad something!" he quickly added.
"What do you mean?" You asked him, your voice small.
"Well... I don't not want a kid. I'd be thrilled to have one, really, but it's kind of... A bad time at the moment. But... It's technically nine months, right?"
"Typically, yes."
" Then I'll just have to fix everything before then. " he smiled. You felt much better after that and put your hand on your stomach, rubbing small circles. Five smiled and held your other hand. He pressed your foreheads together.
"We'll be fine."
