Chapter 18

I woke up to someone shaking me violently. I peeked one eye open to see Calum standing in front of me. Leaning up, I turned my phone back on and looked at the time. I had slept almost till noon. Last night when I tried to go to sleep I would always have a dream of Ed and I fighting and wake up; this happened almost every two hours. When I finally went to sleep and my brain shut up about Ed and I fighting, I guess you can say I slept pretty well.

"Luke is in the hallway talking to the doctor about Sarah leaving soon if you want to speak to him," Calum said as I looked over at Sarah who was turned on her side on some type of social media on her phone.

"Yeah yeah, um I'll be back," I said groggily.

I got up out of the chair, making my way to the mirror on the other side of the room. Mascara was under my eyes, my concealer was wearing off, my powder had disappeared, and my messy bun was even more messier than I preferred. After cleaning myself up, I walked out the door into the hallway and stood with Luke whom was talking with Sarah's doctor. The doctor looked over to me as I appeared to be some stranger just standing there.

"Are you family?" he asked rudely.

"I'm her sister. Come on, we look just a like."

"Yes I see that, you're both very gorgeous," the young doctor explained cheekily.

"Yeah well the gorgeous pregnant one is my wife," Luke explained. I figured that was the only way the doctor would talk with him about his "gorgeous pregnant wife" was to say they were married because the doctor seem like a jackass.

The doctor looked at Luke cautiously and then at me before looking at his clipboard. He cleared his throat and looked back up.

"It seems Sarah had a false labor yesterday, correct? She has been doing fine, eating well, using the bathroom regularly, well regularly for a pregnant woman. She has been talking and responding well, etcetera. We'll get the discharge papers and get you out of here," he said giving me a wink.

"I'm taken and I have a kid!" I shouted as he walked away. That was partially true, I'm not taken but I do have a kid. 

Luke and I walked back into Sarah's room and waited for the doctor to come back with papers to sign. Luke looked at me and took Sarah's hand in hers. Michael, Calum, and Ashton were propped up against a counter or a wall looking at Luke. I'm pretty sure we all knew what was about to happen. 

"Sarah, sweetie, I have something to tell you. I love you and Tyler very much and I never ever want to leave you two, but sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zones and do stuff that you really want to do and that you have dreamed of all your life. The boys and I have to go on a short tour before our baby is born. I'm sorry," Luke said in a hush tone.

"Before Tyler is born? Oh, it's okay I understand. I'll be fine by myself, Penelope can keep me company. I'm proud of you babe," Sarah answered back in the same hush tone. Penelope is Luke, Sarah, and shortly Tyler's French Bulldog.

"Maybe your mom or Courtney can help you and take care of you until I get back home. It won't be long. I'll be back before a couple days before his due date, hopefully he doesn't come early," Luke explained to Sarah as tears gathered in her eyes and threatened to spill. 

"Yeah, I could do that. I'm sure mom wouldn't mind, but Courtney has a child of her own and Ed to deal with and I'm sure she doesn't-" 

"Sarah are you insane. I love you so much, I'll be there and help you. To be honest Ed and I haven't been so good lately anyway. I think we need time apart," I interrupted her. 

"Time apart? I think you need time together, things have been busy, give it a little time to settle down and just enjoy it. You two are perfect for each other and you'll be okay, I promise," Sarah gave me a lecture.
