Courtney's POV

"What did she say? You said you saw her at the mall..." I trail off.

"Well, she told us that Ed called her," Amanda says and looks up at me. That instantly reminded me about how he text me and then didn't text back.

"What did he say?"

"He asked where you were and how you were doing. She said she told him that you were still here in London and you're okay. He said he wants to catch up with you and talk."

"He text me the other day. He asked how I was and I respond with stressed but good and I hoped he was having fun on tour; he didn't reply though," I stated. Everyone looks at me like I had two heads and I rock back and forth on my heels, not knowing what to say.

"Anyway, you should invite your mum over so you two can talk about it," Reese suggests.

I probably should invite her over, but what if it goes all wrong? I have a mental pro's and con's list, and so far on the pro's list we have, she can cover come over and have a good attitude, we can all get along, we can have a nice time, she can answer some of my questions, she can see and meet Shelby and like her and we can get Ed back possibly. On my con's list is basically every single thing on my pro's list, but opposite. I thought about it for a few more minutes, weighing my options before I came to a conclusion.

"Okay, fine she can come. Amanda, would you like to stay and try to help keep me sane?" I ask, only halfway joking.

"I'd love to Court," Amanda says with a smile.

"Let's see how this goes," I say and take a deep breath before dialing my mum's number on my phone and putting it on speaker.

"Hello?" my mums voice booms through the speaker. I miss her voice so much.

"Mum, hey. It's me."

"Courtney! Hey sweetheart."

"Would you like to come over for dinner tonight?" I get straight to the point.

"I'd love to, what time should I be there?" she asks and I look at the girls with a smile.

I hang up the phone after agreeing that she should be here around six o'clock and she got the address. I look up to see Kellin had joined us and was talking to Reese at the moment.

"She'll be here at six o'clock, so that gives me four hours to get ready, get Shelby ready, cook and oh my gosh, this house is a mess. I have so much to do!" I say, thinking of all the stuff I have to do in four hours.

"Four hours for what?" Kellin asks, completely clueless.

"My mum is coming over for dinner so we can talk about everything and just catch up on stuff."

"Oh, do you know what you're cooking?" He asks. Oh my gosh, when I think things can't get any cluttered and stressful, they do. I have no clue what to cook.

"I have a strategy plan," Reese says, calming me down. I go downstairs to start dinner.

I get all the ingredients out and start to make the sauce for the Lasagna. I really hope this meal turns out good. Every time I cook lasagna, I think of the time Ed told me that he was going on tour. I had fixed lasagna and had fancy wine on the table when he got home from the studio. It's also the same night we made love and also a daughter named Shelby.

Ed's POV

"Afternoon, Ed," I look up to see my good friend. She's been too nice and friendly lately, creeping me out a bit. She's like the overbearing aunt you see on holidays that hugs you every ten minutes and squishes your cheeks.
