"Hey Cole, come upstairs, I'll give you a tour!" I yell from the top of the staircase.

"ELLIE WHO THE FUCK IS COLE AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I hear Leo yell again, but I ignore it. It's not that I want to follow what Mi said, but I don't have the energy to talk to him. I feel like if I talk to him, everything will become real and it would hurt more. If I keep pretending he does not exist, I can try avoiding it for as long as possible.

"Sure, coming Ellie," Cole replies, quickly catching on. 

"ELLIE!" Leo tries again, but I turn around as Cole catches me upstairs and we go to the room where Mi and I were talking and where Mi currently sits down.

"Cole this is Naomi, Naomi, this is Cole. The guy from the beach. Yes, she knows about the entire gang thing, what happened at the beach, and Leo and I." I responded. He slowly nodded his head.

"I'm taken!" Naomi blurts out as I giggle.

"I wouldn't doubt it. But you are also not my type. I am more into bright blue eyes," He replies staring at mine as my cheeks turn redder than a stop sign.

"AWWW your cheeks look like little rubies," He replies pinching them as I playfully glare at him.

"She is a July born," Naomi cuts in for me, giving me an approving look with her eyes.

"I hate you both," I huff.

"I have not even known you for a day and I already know you love me," He replied, teasingly.

"Nope," I reply, crossing my arms and my nose pointing to the sky.

"Now you just need to admit it," He replies, tickling my stomach. I start laughing so much, I think my head might burst. But my stubborn self would not let me say those words. That is until he starts tickling me more.

"O...okay. I...I love you!" I reply between laughs.

LEO POV:

"O...okay. I...I love you!" I hear an all-too-familiar voice laugh as I was about to go as Ellie what was up with her. She was not acting like her usual bright self and she was ignoring me and fuck I hated it more than anything. But it seems like it was all because she found someone else. That stupid Cole guy. She may not know it, but I liked her a whole fucking lot. I could practically hear my heart snap in two at those words. I was fairly sure she did not actually mean she loved him like that, but it still broke my heart. I opened the door to find him on top of her, smirking down at her.

"WHAT IS GOING ON?!" My voice boomed louder than it intended to. I had no right to be so jealous, she wasn't even really mine. 

"None of your fucking business!" That guy, Mole, or something growled at me.

"I think it is!" I growled back. Both of our eyes narrowed at each other. I saw Ellie whispering something in his ear. He sent one last glare at me, then his face softened as he smiled at her and she smiled back. SHE FUCKING SMILED BACK AT THIS BASTARD. Then it happened. She leaned up and fucking kissed him. And then and there, I swear I could hear my heart shatter. It sounded like glass falling. A sound of something broken that could never be fixed. Not fully.

"Leo, I decided that I wanted to go out with Cole," She smiled sweetly at me. She may have been smiling, but I could see the look of hate and disgust mixed in her eyes. What the fuck did I do? I am not the one breaking other peoples' hearts. 

"No, you cannot," I replied without even thinking. As soon as the words left my mouth, she stared at me in disbelief.

Ellie POV:

"And why is that?!" I challenged. Part of me hoped that he would say because he wanted to be with me. Because he never was cheating on me and never would cheat on me. But that was a part I knew would never happen. I told Cole to pretend we were going out to make Leo mad at me and I guess he understood with everything that was happening.

"Because dating is a distraction and a weakness. Who knows how well this guy can handle a gun?!" He looked at me with an unreadable expression.

"YOU JUST TOOK ME OUT ON A DATE!" I yelled at him.

"So? It was just a date. Plus, if someone tries to go after me for dating you, I can protect myself. Can't say the same for loverboy. Come one, he is so scrawny and weak, have you seen him?! " He replied. I heard him mumble something I could not quite understand.

"Seriously?! Dude, you must be blind. Because I don't think these muscles are just fat," Cole cut in with an incredulous look on his face and I had to agree the guy was built. Not as much as Leo, though. Ellie, what are you thinking. Leo texted another girl he loved her! 

"Whatever Leo, stop lying. Cole does have a build," I could see the fury building up in him and decided it was best to drop this conversation. The only reason I asked Cole to "date me" was to show Leo how little he meant to me. That he was just a small crush. Something I am having an extremely hard time convincing myself.

Leo POV:

I could take Cole saying he was built, because I got to admit, I was lying. Cole did have muscles, though not as big as mine. I was angry because I did not think when I said he was scrawny. I probably sounded stupid. But when Ellie said it, I could hear someone stepping on my heart. She shattered it, but that was not enough for her. She had to where fucking high heels and step on every fucking piece. That bitch stepped on every piece of my heart. But even I knew I could not call her a bitch. Because deep down I knew I was starting to fall for her. And I was exposing myself to her, my heart, so she could break it. Without her, I felt empty. Those words killed me. And I gave her a power I swore I would never give anyone. Not after Angel.
