[O]h right, I am in APUSH

I swear I could feel the sweat dripping down my face. I stared at the clock. 11:30. Lunch starts in half an hour. I was so nervous that I could not pay attention to what the teacher was saying. Hell, I was so nervous I forgot what class I was in.

"The founding fathers..." oh right, I am in APUSH (AP US History). I'll have to ask Jasmine for the notes later. We are both taking the same course, just in different periods. I just wished this class would never end. Not because I liked the class or anything, but because of what is happening after. One word. Detention. 11:49. Closer. 19 minutes closer to my doom. What are people going to think when they find out that I got detention? I'm literally freaking out about detention...wow. 11:59.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

Mrs. Bergentine emailed me that I needed to go to room 102 for detention. I slowly walked down the hallway and it felt as though all eyes were on me. Like everyone knew I was going to detention and they were all judging me for being so bad as to end up in detention. I help my books closer to my arms in hopes of comfort, but it provided little to none. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes of fear. I am such a coward. Even simple detentions make me cry. I tried to hold out for as long as I could, but eventually, I saw the line up for detention. Well actually, it was not even a lineup, there was only one person, but I could not see who. I waited outside the door and walked in signing my name. Then went ahead and sat at the front. I put my head down and started on my AP Computer science homework. In all honesty, AP ComSci is extremely easy and with my nerves right now, I don't think I could handle anything harder.

public class Jumpingacks{

import java.util.ArrayList;

   public static void main (String[] args){

      System.out.println("Hello, Welcome to Jumpingacks! Press enter to continue...");

   }

}

I quickly wrote the program and ran it, adding more and more to it to make it more advance. It was a game where the character had to avoid the coins and collect trash. The lesson was to help the community and environment and not get sucked into greed. We had to write a program about greed, so I decided this one. I was writing a line to make the person jump when I felt something light being thrown at me. I turned around and found a piece of paper on the ground that red.

"Ms.Goody Two shoes in detention...wow."

 I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion and looked behind me. I should've guessed. I took a deep sigh and continued my work when I heard the sound of desks and chairs scraping against the floor. Then there was a pause. Followed by more desk and chair scraping.

"Ms. Smarty pants, what are you doing here, the math leagues is in room A290," Leo smirked.

"I am not in the mood Leo." I sighed.

LEO BLACK POV:

I looked into Elaina's electric blue eyes, there was something about them that kept pulling me to them. Probably because they were an unnatural color.

"Why are your eyes such an unnatural color?" I asked Elaina scrunching my eyes.

"Excuse me?" She snapped, narrowing her eyes attempting to look intimidating, but I find it cute. Before you think anything, I am in a gang, you should expect this, her glare does not scare me, but looks like a little 4-year-old attempting to be mad.

"You heard me..." I reply.

"Would you just go? I am trying to work on my AP CompSci homework." She sighed.

"Actually, I already finished. I can tell you about my project if you want." I replied smirking.

"You? AP COMP SCI? NO WAY."

"I know the project is about greed and making a program that helps the public be aware, so I decided to make nothing. You see, using your phone in the first place is selfish and greedy, so I decided to do nothing. Making a game, most people would play it for the game part. Putting posters, most people would do it to say they are. They would not lose anything but gain everything. So I decided to do nothing and this way keep people off of their phones and be IRL instead."

"Unfortunately, this project counts for a lot of our grade and I would prefer not to risk it, but A for the great story." She sneered, obviously thinking low of me. At this I huffed. She turned around and I honestly wanted to see her blue eyes again. I kept poking her until she sighed and quickly spun around. Throughout the teacher was on his phone not caring.

"What?!" She hissed. I stared intently at her blue eyes and studied them. They shone so brightly, they may have hurt my eyes. They looked like two sapphires shining bright.

"I think I'm a thief," I smirked, half-dazed still staring at her eyes.

"What?" She asked irritated.

"Well I keep stealing glances at those precious Saphire eyes you have," I replied knowing fully well how horrible my joke was. At the comment, she quickly huffed and spun around before I could see her face again, covering her face with her hair.

Elaina POV:

No no no. This cannot be happening. I blushed. I blushed. I have not blushed since him. And especially not at a bad boy. I quickly spun around and covered my face huffing at his comment attempting to brush it off and seem annoyed. I pretended to continue working on my program when in reality, I could not focus at all. Focus Elaina, honestly, you go from not even talking to him to blushing at his comments. Oh, when is this detention going to end? Honestly! For the rest of the detention, neither Leo nor I said a word. Leo was doing something on his phone. Whereas I tried working on Comsci but I gave up.

Thoughts??? Questions??? Anything??? Okay then...

So detentions are not generally like this. Tons of people get detention during high school. Even people who are not "bad".

Funny Story: In 5th grade, I fell asleep during class and my teacher found out. She yelled at me, but I would not respond, so she had to come and gently wake me up. My sister had my teacher and asked her about it later on. MY TEACHER STILL REMEMBERS YEAR AND YEARS LATER. She was like "I tried yelling at her, but she did not wake up, so I had to come over to her desk and wake her up." Yahhh She chose me to answer a problem. The entire class erupted into laughter. So yah random story about me. Up to this day, I am still afraid to fall asleep during class.

XOXO
