Luna

Chapter 5

     For the rest of the day I just stayed in the house, hoping at some point he would mind-link me, yet he never did. I don't pay a lot of mind to it since I'm sure he was in much trouble as I was. Teicu was stirring in my mind and I could tell she wants to be let out, it would be nice to go on a run right now. Looking towards my bedroom window,  I make sure there was still light outside. The sun was almost touching the horizon so, it's not too late. Maybe it would be a better idea to just leave my phone here, it's not like I'll have any pockets anyways.

    My hand is already on the doorknob by the time I bring myself out of my thoughts. I feel my wolfs excitement once I reach the stairs, I sense my mother in the living area so that's where I go first. It seems as tho my mother isn't the only one here, I smell another with her, female, wolf, the smell is very similar to the Luna's. Obviously, it's the Luna and I'm just being slow. When I step off the stairs I walk towards them, the energy surrounding them is tense, I can tell. They snap their heads at me walking in immediately, I wouldn't be surprised if it hurt their necks after. It was very clear I walked in on a heavy discussion.

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm going for a run, Teicu is relentless right now," my mother smiles and nods, dismissing me.

    Not going to lie, the tense air was weighing me down and I needed to leave. Walking out of the house, I leave all that behind me and just focus on what I was doing. Since my house was close to the woods, it take me very long to find a tree to hind my clothes by. The cold air bit at my skin as I started undressing myself, fur started sprouting out already so, I needed to make this quick. My feet touch the ground and I shift completely, Teicu was in control now and I had to step back.

'It feels so good to stretch my limbs!'

I role my eyes, 'Run already, it'll be dark soon.'

    She laughed at me and bolted, zigzagging through the trees, never slowing down once. I could feel everything she felt. The wind tangling our fur, paws touching the dirt, ears twitching at every sound. The sun made a path for me as we ran straight for it. It felt so warm, like a blanket that was just pulled out of the dryer. I liked doing this, it's one of the many things I like about being a werewolf. I wish Alex was here, it seems like Teicu does too. We could be running together, chase each other till we were tired. Somehow, I still can't mind link him and it's starting to irritate me. Maybe I should just let him come to me when he needs to talk, I'm probably overreacting. 

     Reaching a clearing, Teicu stops to rest our limbs, our ears searching the area. She settles down more when only hearing some forest animals near by. We watch as the wind makes the long grass go in different directs. It's so peaceful, I should come here more often, this could be my escape. Perhaps not, it's too out in the open, I'd like it to be more secret. I'm so indecisive, this is going to be tough on my mate, I can never make a good decision. My thoughts are interrupted by a voice in my head.

'Antheia?'

Teicu sighs in relief as I respond to Alex, 'You haven't spoke to me in hours.'

He whines as though he is in pain, 'I know. I'm sorry, my father wanted to have this long talk with me. I need to see you, are you home?'

'No. I'm in a meadow. I don't know which one exactly.'

'It's fine, I'll find you either way,' with that our conversation ends and I have to wait.

    Teicu stands immediately, waiting for his arrival. It shouldn't take him too long to get here, the Alpha's house isn't far off. I can't tell what time it is but, by looking to where the sun sits I know it has to be at least 6 or 7 pm. It'll be dark soon and I rather not be alone when rogues are around. Rogues are werewolves who have either been rejected from their pack or come from a pack that was destroyed. Many are ruthless and care for no one, they down make packs of their own. I've heard that they've all gathered together before to attack small weak packs, but I can't be sure since no one has ask our pack for help with something like that. 

    Our ears perk at the sound of footsteps, a dark wolf appears in front of us. Teicu sniffs the air and catches a whiff of Alex, the wolf rakes it's eyes over my wolf form with much appreciation. His fur looks as though it is nothing but black, majority of my fur is white, part of it is different shades of grays. Alex growls, making me turn my attention back to him. 'Shift,' his command was loud and clear. Teicu pouts as she gives in to lets me shift back. My mate shifts with me and wraps his arms around me, his muscles relax under my touch.

"What did you and your father talk about?"

I guess my curiosity is getting the best of me tonight," We were talking about you, My Love."

Alex pulls away to look at me,"Yeah? Nothing bad I hope."

 "Well only from him, I made a deal with him, I hope the outcome is right," he smiles at me.

"Are you not going to explain any further?"

He chuckles,"We decided to make a deal on whether you'll become a good Luna. Of course, I know you would so I told him exactly that. He's always in doubt either way. He said if you become a good Luna and run the pack well, no one has to be an Omega anymore. The title will vanish. I hope you won't feel stressed to excel."

"Of course I'll be stressed, but I will excel. Or at least try my hardest," we grin at each other.

"I know you will," our lips collide, mine pushing for the truth and his giving it to me.
