Sokeefe Oneshots #2

Lights. Camera. KOTLC! pt.2

It was performance day and my stomach. I looked over at keefe and smiled uneasily. He smirked back and gave me thumbs up. Our play prouder went out onto the stage;
"Honoured Guests, we are ready, after six months of practicing, to proudly present our play: Mysteries of Princess Laylinna and Asher Diov.
I held my breath as the lights dimmed and the audiences applause dies down. The spotlight turned on and shone a single beam upon Fitz and Tam.
"Won't you please buy my pears, they are of highest quality..."
I fidgeted in the wings making eye contact with Keefe on the opposite end. We had practiced this so many times, no way I would mess up. I felt someone tap my shoulder, I turned around quickly, smacking my curled hair across their face.
"Dammit. Sorry Jensi. What is it?" I asked, flustered.
"You missed you cue." He said pointing to the stage. Sure enough, I was in my own head too long and had missed my cue to make an entrance. I looked out onto the stage, it was dead quiet, everyone looking at my wing, I stumbled forward, a deep blush setting in my cheeks as I began saying my lines.

One hour later we were finally done our play. I messed up one other line but never another cue, it was wayyyy to mortifying.
"I'd like to welcome back Keefe Sencen and Sophie Ruben-Foster for another round of applause. I met Keefe at centre stage and we held hands and did a deep sweeping bow as we showered in the applause of our guests. I was beaming by the time we made it back to the changing room.
"Ahh! That was so much fun!" Biana cried, jumping up from her seat were she was taking off her makeup. " Aren't you glad I convinced you to sign up?"
I sighed walking over to the wardrobe. "Of course B. Thank you, it really was a fun opportunity!" I said and began to take off my costume.
"Hey girls! Good show!" Fitz called waving from the sm changing room doors. "Meet ya in the caf for snacks?" We nodded and finished up changing.
"That kiss with you and Keefe sure looked steamy..." Marbella whispered, leaning into our conversation. "Are you guys like a... thing? Because if you are I'm totally her for it." She giggled. I blushed furiously,
" Oh my gosh Marella. No!" I said clasping my makeup bag and standing up. We walked out toward the cafeteria.
"Marella's got a point Soph, you guys looked so perfect together!" Linh squealed. I sighed and pushed open the caf doors. Inside everyone was seated at the tables munching on goodies or going by the buffet line. I smiled and waved to Grady and Edaline.
"Hey Sophie!" Grady called, waving me over. They were seated with Dex's parents, Julie and Kesler.
"You guys were so good!" Juliane gushed and Edlaine nodded in agreement. I sat down heavily, exhausted from the show and snatched a mellow melt slice off of Grady's plate.
"Hey!" He cried out playfully. "Go in and dot with your friends kiddo." He said nodding to wear keefe, Fitz, Linh and Tam were sitting. I wondered over, bringing Biana and Marella with me.
"Hey guys! Great work out there, we really did it well!" Linh said stuffing her face with indigoobers. I laughed,
"Yeah. Sure, except when when I totally missed my cue and it was like silent for a whole five minutes!" I said, dropping my face onto my hands.
"Foster! You were fine! It just added.... mystery to it." Keefe conspired, laughing. He reached over and put his hand on my out reaches fore arm, making eye contact. "You were perfect, beautiful and amazing!" He said softly. I looked at him with surprise. Then some sort of external force over powered me and I leaned forward to the embrace. And in front of everyone. I pressed my lips against his kissing him and felt him smile against mine. I pulled back and sighed, taking in his sandalwood minty smell.
