-Warren pov-
-after class-
I could feel everyone staring at me for the whole rest of the class, and it was making me nervous. My heart rate started to pick up, my palms were getting sweaty, it was getting hard to breathe.
The second I heard the bell ring I grabbed my bag and ran to the bathroom and hid in a stall.
I dropped my bag on the floor and leaned against the wall. I slid myself down to the floor and buried my face in my hands, trying to steady my breathing to calm myself down.
I then started to feel tears running down my face.
-3rd person pov-
"No!... Not now!.. Not here!" The small boy whispered to himself as he started trying to wipe the tears away, finding himself to be unsuccessful soon after. "Ugh! Why!? Stop crying you worthless piece of garbage!" Warren whisper yelled at himself, grabbing fistfuls of his hair and repeatedly slamming his back into the wall behind him in between saying each word.
"Warren?"
Warren didn't say a word, afraid of who might be outside the stall door.
"Are you okay in there?" The voice asked. "Arlo?..." Warren finally said after recognizing the voice. "Yeah.. It's me.. Can you let me in?"Warren got up tried once more to wipe the tears off his face and opened the door Arlo look at the small blonde. "Oh my God, Warren.. " He said before hugging him. Warren continued to cry into Arlo's shoulder.
"Come on." Arlo said, picking him up and grabbing his bag. "We're getting you out of here." Warren started getting visibly nervous. "I-i can't! My parents will kill me!"
"Not if they care at all about your mental health"
"That's the point! They don't!"
"Well I do and I'm not gonna let that happen, so your coming with me. "
"... "
Arlo proceeded to carry Warren out of the school and take him to his house. Arlo sat Warren on the couch.
"Stay right here. I'm gonna get you some food. You look starving."
'Always' Warren thought to himself and nodded.
-Arlo pov-
God what do people do to this kid? I can't stand seeing him like this.
I went to my kitchen and got him a snack, before coming and sitting down next to him.
"You wanna talk about it?.."
I saw tears streaming down his face once again. "Everyone just kept staring at me... I couldn't take it.. "
"What happened?"
"I was in choir and the teacher made me sing... "
I was shocked for a second. He has a great voice, I don't see how him singing would be a problem."She threatened to fail me if I didn't and everyone kept staring at me after... I just got so nervous I couldn't take it.. You probably think that I'm stupid, don't you? "
I sighed to myself and shook my head no. "Of course not. Why on Earth would I think you're stupid?"
He looked at the ground in defeat. "Because I'm over here crying over something that wouldn't even bother a lot of people... "
I looked down at him. "Hey... Just because some people would react differently than the way you did doesn't make your feelings any less valid in any way. "
He looked back up at me. "Thanks I guess... "
I smiled at him. "Any time. "
